Luna came back in then, with a savage beat, the drums pounding hard and fast as Declan sang the chorus.

Then Luna’s fierce drumbeat stopped with Jamie and Rhys playing off one another. Luna tapped her drumsticks against the cymbal and Declan turned away from the microphone to beat his fist against the snare before Luna swatted him away with a laugh as Rhys danced his fingers over the keys and then Declan went back to singing.

The hard rock of the melody ground to a halt as Rhys switched to a more classical tone, one that Declan knew Andi would understand was solely in reference to her, as Declan tried to soften the gruff tone of his voice.

Luna tapped her drums with her sticks again counting in for them to rock out once more and Declan pulled his guitar back to the front and he and Jameson jammed together for a couple of bars, then they both leaned into the mic to sing.
