“Oh, they see us watching!” I whisper.

“They’re coming this way. Just go along with me.”

“My gosh! I am so out of practice!” Nani says, laughing and holding on to her partner.

“You are not! It’s me. I haven’t been on a dance floor for years. And these two left feet aren’t helping.”

Alek touches his mother’s arm.

“I’m glad you’re having a good time. Listen, Leilani and I are going to be gone for about an hour. She’s going to show me…”

Lani interrupts his pitiful excuse.

“I will be taking your mother home. She has agreed to my suggestion, and I’ll make sure she is safely inside.”

“We are going to leave soon. My legs have had enough for the night,” she adds.

Yay! Problem solved.

“Great,” Alek says looking a little too happy for anyone to miss. “We’re going to be here for awhile, but I’ll be home later.”

Nani’s hand comes to her son’s cheek.

“Have fun. Don’t worry about what time you get home. Lani and I are going to have some coffee and I told him about my malasadas.”

“You’re going to love them, Lani.”

“Shall we go, my beauty?”

This time Lani’s words go down like honey. Auntie doesn’t mind them at all.

As they walk away, Alek is leading me off the dance floor.

“Let’s get out of here.”

“Should we say goodbye to our hosts?”

“Hell no. We’ll be back. Besides, I don’t want anyone to stop our forward trajectory. Let’s just slip away.”

I chuckle with his impatience. And mine. I offer no rebuttal to the plan. As we round the corner of the house, he gives me an indecent kiss.

“I can hardly wait to feel you inside me.”

He places my hand on his cock and it responds with a lift. We pick up the pace and head for the car. Uh oh. Someone parked too close behind him. We are boxed in.

“What the fuck?” There is anger in his voice and a pleading tone all mixed together. “The Chevy that was here had left room. This guy was a dick.”

“You can do it. Get in and I’ll guide you.”

“I’m going to kill whoever did this.”

“No need for violence. Maybe we can push the Honda forward a bit.”

There’s hope in his eyes as we get behind the car and put our backs into it. We push and push, moving the car two inches at most.

“Look at that kid.”

I start laughing because the parking attendant is too busy smoking a blunt to help. He watches our efforts and remains seated on the porch stair. A long stream of smoke rises from his lips.
