“What scenery? We walk the same way home from school every day!” I yell back at her.

“Sometimes you just have to enjoy what you have around you even if you see it everyday, because that’s all you may ever get,” she says thoughtfully. We’ve lived in our small run-down apartment right down from the school ever since I can remember. Mom works crazy hours just to keep the lights on and food on the table. We don’t have much, but we have a roof over our heads.

Lainey isn’t even attempting to chase me so I decide to hide behind the broken down white car on the corner. We pass it every day on the way home from school and it hasn’t moved for as long as I can remember. The grass around the car has grown enough that it completely covers my feet as I hide.

I wait for her to get to the corner. She should be here by now. I slowly crouch forward to peek around the car in the direction Lainey should be walking. She's not there. She couldn’t have passed me without me seeing her. I step out from behind the car, still looking for her. “Lainey?” I call, but I hear nothing.

I look back toward the school and see a flicker of brown hair being pulled into a black van. I run back to my hiding spot behind the car. I don’t want whoever is in that van to see me. I don’t want them to take me too. I start crying, but stay exactly where I am.

When it feels safe, I step out from behind the car. I take a couple steps towards the school when something white catches my eye. I run to pick it up off the ground. 521 S. Bridge St. That’s the address of the school. That is all that's on the paper besides a small gold symbol that looks like two S’s.

Gasping,I shoot up from Rian’s bed, instantly checking my surroundings. It felt like I was back in my twelve-year-old body. I take a deep breath, trying to slow my breathing when I find myself alone in Rian’s bed.How did that feel so real?Every once in a while, I dream exactly what happened the day Lainey was kidnapped.

I hate having that dream. My heart tears in half thinking about how I still haven’t found her like I promise her every day. I’m always in a mood for days after the dream, and I hate putting the guys through that, even though they say they understand.

Collecting myself, I decide to get ready for the day. I choose a black dress with a pale pink blazer as my boss bitch outfit. After curling my long, burgundy hair, I put on my makeup and head downstairs to meet the guys for breakfast.

Rian’s in the kitchen buttering toast and looking sexy as hell. I walk up behind him and wrap my arms around his waist. “I had the dream again.” I put all of my pain into him. He stops what he’s doing and turns around in my arms.

“I wish I could take away all your pain, baby girl. I’m sorry I wasn’t there when you woke up.” He caresses my face between his hands. All I see in his eyes is love.

“My pain won’t go away until I find her,” I sigh.

“I know. We won’t stop until we do. I promise,” he replies, leaning down, connecting his lips to mine in a soft but passionate kiss. “Good morning, beautiful.”

“Good morning,” I say as I step toward the coffee pot.I need this after Rian kept me up all night devouring my pussy.I bite my bottom lip thinking about the things that man did to my body last night.

“What are you thinking about, gorgeous?” Zep asks as he walks in and grabs us each a coffee cup from the cabinet.

A blush creeps up my neck to my cheeks. “Nothing.” You would think I’d be over this blushing thing since I’ve been having sex with all of them frequently for years and they all like to watch. Apparently not.

“Yeah, right.” He smirks before pouring us coffee and carrying them over the table.

Thiago walks into the kitchen and my mouth goes dry. He’s wearing the Zep special today. Black. He rarely wears a black suit, but when he does I can’t stop looking at him. This man looks fucking delicious today.

“You got a little drool there, meu amor,” he says as he playfully wipes his thumb across my chin.

“You wish,” I laugh as I push him playfully. He grabs my wrists and pulls me in for a hug. “Good morning, baby,” I whisper against his chest.

“Good morning.” He gives me a soft peck on the lips. “Let’s go eat some breakfast so we can get this day started.”

Rian and Zep are already devouring their eggs, bacon, and toast when we sit down at the table.

“So, what are the plans for today?” Zep asks.

I fill my plate with food as I answer. “Greyson is coming in to sign his contract today, then after work I’m going to see Tara for a bit. She actually has a day off so we’re going to have a girls day.”

“Do we get to meet Greyson?” Thiago asks.

“Is that code for ‘do we get to harass him?’ Because if so, then I’m gonna have to say no,” I reply.

“Oh, come on. We aren’t that bad!” Zep exclaims.

“Yes you are. You three once made us lose a client because you thought he was getting flirty with me. You literally made him cry like a baby in front of everyone in the office!” I try to say without cracking a smile.

“Okay, we might be a little protective, but that’s just because we love you so much. If you really want to get to know him Lya, I promise we won’t do anything to scare him off,” Zep states.

“Speak for yourself,” Rian mumbles under his breath, as if I wasn’t supposed to hear him. I catch his eye, alerting him that I heard him. He gives me a half shrug and a sad smile.
