“You too?” Ace says angrily, before he begins to pace back and forth like an animal.

“We talked about this,” Theon says through clenched teeth. Whatever they’re talking about obviously has to do with me, but what exactly it is, I don’t have a clue.

“Care to shed some light on your telepathic communication?” I inquire, leaning back in the chair and crossing my arms over my chest.

“We think you could help us get Novak alone,” Blais says before Ace has a chance to shut him up.

“How?” My curiosity is piqued now.

“We take you to the club, lure him out, get him, and our answers.” Blais continues casually, like that’s not a big deal.

“You want me to be bait?”

“He clearly already liked you once, I’m sure you could do it again. You're pretty good at using your body to get what you want,” Ace says harshly.

Ignoring his insult, I try to get more information about this plan of theirs. “What exactly do you plan on doing with him once you get him out?” I think I know the answer to that, but who knows they could surprise me.

“What do you think we’re going to do?” Theon asks the question, but I know it’s rhetorical. They’re going to do exactly what they did to me, or even what they did to Tony.

“And you’ll let me get my answers from him?” My eyes cut to Ace, knowing he’ll be the one to make that call.

“Fine.” His response takes me off guard.

What the hell? Is it really that easy?

Then it hits me. Obviously he’d agree. He doesn’t believe I’m getting out of here anyway, so what would it hurt getting my answers if I have no one to share them with. That’s exactly why he’d agree.

“What if I refuse?” I ask honestly. I could make their lives a living hell if this is what they want from me. They can’t guarantee that I’ll cooperate.

“You don’t have a choice. This isn’t a negotiation. Either way, you’re doing it.” Says the man who was justso keenon not letting me help.

The longer I think about it, the more I realize their plan will work in my favor. Yeah, I want answers from Novak, but what I want more than anything is to get out of here. If I’m in public, in a packed crowd, there’s a better chance I’ll be able to get out or at least get a phone to call Chief or Matt.

“Fine.” I stare blankly at Ace, who’s now looking at me weirdly. Probably because I didn’t give him shit for once. I’m clearly not going to expand on the fact that I’ll sabotage their plans the moment I’m free from this place.

“Take her to her room. We’ll figure out the plan later,” Ace grunts out as Theon grabs my arm, ready to take me to the room again.

This is my chance. This is the only hope I have that I’m going to get my freedom back, and I won’t mess it up. Things really could be looking up for me.

The atmosphere between all of us is changing rapidly. The tension, anger, and lust filling this place is overwhelming as it seeps into every crack, crevice, and corner, making it hard to breathe. The longer she stays here, the easier our walls are crumbling and caving in on themselves.

She’s like a drug. Easy to get high on, but the withdrawal is painstakingly violent while you ache for more.

She’s become an aggravating fixture in our daily routines over the last month and a half, but the thought of her not being here to annoy the shit out of us agitates me more than ever.

Who thought the woman, being the pain in the ass she is, would make us all lose our shit and actually want her to be around? As much as we try to fight it, it’s as clear as day that she’s someone we find fascinating.

Ace might pretend he doesn’t want her, but it’s easy to tell he’s still lying to himself. Blais is so fucking smitten by her it’s embarrassing. And me? Well, I’m not going to lie. She is the most intriguing, alluring, and captivating woman I’ve ever met.

Which is exactly why I need to stay away from her.

With each piece of information I find out, the more it seems like it’s not enough. I crave to know everything that makes her tick. Everything that makes her the enigma she is, and I know I’m not the only one. Ace and Blais feel exactly the same way even if they haven’t said it out loud.

The most mind-blowing part of this all is that Ace actually fucked her today. He finally lost his cool and let it out on her, giving her the power that she needed to get one up on him. He knew the consequences of falling at her feet and he still let it happen. He might think he was the dominant one in that room, but she’s the only one with ultimate power in this situation.

Although, I’m still not fully sure what happened inside her apartment, the fact that she came out with a nasty looking wound on her forehead made me feel uneasy. Ace has always been rough. He likes to be the superior one, always in control. But seeing that cut on her forehead ignited rage inside me. She’s getting under our skin and between us as brothers.

It doesn’t make sense considering all of the fucked-up things we’ve done to her, but knowing that we didn’t all do that to her together made me angry.
