he said with a smile.
“What?”
Austin leaned over the desk.
“Where are you going?”
He stopped and looked her in the eyes.
“I’m going to kiss you Claudia. I want you to know this kiss isn’t about morale. I’m not concerned about teambuilding, and this is one hundred percent for you.”
He leaned down until he was a breath away from her.
“Are you ready? This is just to make sure we are on the same page and there’s nothing there okay?”
Claudia felt her head nod yes, but she wasn’t really ready.
His lips bent to hers and his lips moved slow and deliberate like. He didn’t tremble leaning over and it was the kind of kiss you leaned into hoping to get more. It wasn’t a quick kiss. It was a kiss with intent and promise. It was the type of kiss that made her dream of tomorrow and have faith that there was something better coming.
When Austin pulled away Claudia was still trying to gather herself. She opened her eyes and saw him looking at her with a grin. Then he got up off of the desk and walked out of the door.
Claudia dropped her head into her hands. This was not going the way she thought it should be. That man was under her skin and she the short fact of the matter was she didn’t have a clue on what to do.
“What am I doing?” Claudia murmured.
Chapter Sixteen
“You know that is thefirst question we have to ask ourselves you know,” Tanya said standing in the door.
Claudia’s head fell back into her hands.
“I can’t do the half of the wonder twins today,” Moaned Claudia.
Tanya sat down in front of the desk and placed her feet on the desk.
“I’m not sure what you are prepared for, but I want you to know I waited until you and the one who can’t be named in the house left after your kiss. Imagine how shocked I was to see you and him lip locked.” Tanya said.
