“And you said Finn was going back to school soon?”

“Yeah. He was able to get a scholarship to the doctoral program in history at Stony Brook, so he doesn’t have to put in as many hours at the law firm. He’s so excited.”

Justin and Finn shouted from the pool and dove in, swimming down the length of the pool.

“Justin thinks he’s still the high school swim captain,” Lucy said with a giggle.

Colleen watched them swim laps for a few minutes. Finn was only a fraction faster than Justin.

“Justin’s a strong swimmer, but he better pick up the pace, or else he’s going to lose,” Lucy said, getting to her feet with Sarah in her arms. “You can do it, Justin!”

Colleen got to her feet, moving Grace to her hip. “Go, Finn!”

The water churned with Justin and Finn’s swimming. But the clear winner was Finn.

Justin climbed out of the pool and grabbed a towel. “I know when to surrender,” he said, wiping off.

Meanwhile, Finn stayed in the water doing a leisurely backstroke. “I’ll let you have a rematch anytime you want,” he called out.

Justin approached them and bent to give Lucy a kiss.

“Nice try,” Lucy said.

“I’ll get him next time,” Justin said, taking Grace from Colleen.

Colleen turned her attention back to the pool to seeFinn slowly pull himself up and out of the water. His biceps flexed, and his low swim trunks displayed his muscled abs and V-line. He made a casual glance her way. He wanted her to be watching him.

Lucy nudged Colleen with a huge grin. “I think Finn is flirting with you.”

“I think so, too.” Colleen got to her feet and adjusted the linen sarong on her hips. She ran a hand through her hair, slowly walking across the terrace to Finn.

Finn kept his eye on her as he dried himself off with a towel, tossing it aside when she got closer.

“Come here,” he said, giving her a kiss.

“You’re showing off again,” she said around his lips.

“So are you.” Finn laughed.

“Let’s take a walk on the beach,” Colleen said, pulling Finn toward the stairs.

When they returned to the stairs. Finn glanced up at the villa. “Do you think you’ll ever regret not marrying someone who could give you this kind of life?”

“No way. I married the man I’ve always dreamed of, and now he’s mine forever.” Colleen wrapped her arms around him. “Besides, we’re still on our honeymoon. And after everyone leaves in a few days, we’ll have this amazing villa to ourselves for two weeks.”

As they climbed the steps, Justin and Lucy were singing along with The Black Crowes. “Oh my God, they have a karaoke machine,” she said, picking up the pace.

“Uh oh. I’m guessing you like doing that as much as dancing.”

“Absolutely,” she said, hurrying up the stairs.

After they wore out the karaoke, Lucy and Justin put the twins to bed. Finn put on a long-sleeved T-shirt over his swim shorts and Colleen slipped on a sundress over her bikini.

The music shifted to acoustic guitar. It was still warm, and the sun was beginning its descent, the colors a mixture of magenta and orange on the horizon. Colleen settled into Finn’s warm embrace. Lucy switched on the landscape lighting and tiny white lights. Wine and beers were shared, along with stories and laughter.

Jumping to her feet, Lucy said, “I almost forgot dessert.”

Lucy and Justin hurried inside and moments later they returned with a small, white wedding cake, plates, champagne, and fluted glasses.
