The college where she became friends with a woman I can't stop thinking about.

Jesus. It hasn't been twenty-four hours since I left her in her room. I tucked her into bed and then exited, swearing to myself I'd indulge my lust for her again.

I'm a man of my word, but I have a feeling I won't be able to keep that promise, even to myself.

But I have to. For her sake. For my sake. For Boone's sake. Honestly, for the whole family’s sake. We’ve had so much strife and heartache over the years, I can’t intentionally create more.

Family is the most important thing and it’s my duty to keep the Starr family together.

Yeah, a lot is riding on me not riding on her.

But damn. It's so good. The best. Ever. I thought the anonymous one night stand was fantastic, but now that I've had a chance to get to know her, I'm even more drawn to her.

I stare at the screen a bit longer but all I see is her wet pussy lips begging to be sucked.

The door to my office swings open and hits the wall with a bang. I jump and see Caleb strolling in.

"What the hell is that about?" I ask.

"I knocked four times and you didn't respond."

"Maybe I was busy."

"Maybe you were distracted. Thinking about the girl from the elevator."

Oh fuck. I so regret telling by brothers about the elevator sex. It was wrong when I didn't know her name and it's even more wrong now when I know exactly who she is. And where she is.

He grins and sits down across from me. Leans his elbows on the desk. "So, you really did it in the elevator? In the hotel we own? That's some balls, man."

I wonder if I can go back and erase the last twenty-four hours and return to a simpler time.

"Look," I say, "I really shouldn't have told you any of that. You're my little brother. We shouldn't be sharing details of our sex lives with each other."

He leans back, offended. "I'm your little brother, but I'm still twenty-five years old."

"Then maybe you need to go and find your own woman to hook up with and leave me out of it."

He shrugs. "You're probably right." He picks up a paper clip from the surface of the desk and starts fiddling with it. "Do you think Boone was serious about the family rule? You know, when it comes to her friend, Kit?"

Do not react. Do not react. I repeat over and over in my head while I try to come up with a reply.

"Huh," I say, "are you interested in her, Boone's friend?" I struggle to keep my voice even.

"Well, yeah. She's cute as hell with her dark curly hair and an ass just shouts, 'grab me, squeeze me.' Don't you think?"

I have my hands in my lap and I ball them up into fists. How dare he talk about my kitten that way? I mean, he's not wrong. But she's mine.Mine.

Oh fuck.

I'm in a world of trouble now.

"And don't even pretend you didn't notice, because I saw the way you looked at her when you didn't think anyone was watching."

Caleb the observer.

"And the way she handled all the stuff at lunch and held her own? Well, now, not everyone can do that and she did on her very first day here." He's building up a head of steam and I need to put a stop to it.

"Look, Caleb, the thing with Christy, I know it was a few years ago and we've all moved on, but I still think it's a good rule. We're all we have left and we need to stick together. Getting involved with friends of our siblings is just going to cause unnecessary problems."
