Jaygen appeared out of nowhere, naked and drenched in blood. He held Ozni near him. The vampire’s eyes had gone back to normal, but he looked sort of out of it. His once snow-white hair was dark red, saturated in blood. Jaygen’s typically perfectly groomed blond hair was disheveled, and his ice-blue eyes were one of a pure predator in the middle of a wild hunt.

"Get up, mutt. I told you you are not allowed to die. If anyone will have the pleasure of wiping you off this earth, it will be me and me only," Jaygen growled, and his penetrating gaze spoke the truth of his words.

Foi huffed, rolling over and pushing himself up.

"Strange pep talk, but effective," Amy said.

Four more guards appeared, and Foi growled. His side was screaming in pain, and although he could heal faster than most as a shifter, the amount of damage was far exceeding his ability to heal.

Ozni looked ready to attack, but Jaygen turned him away. "No."

Jaygen picked Cyrus up and for the first time, Foi noticed the incubus laid prone on the floor. "There are too many. We have Amy and that's what matters for now. We’re leaving."

Foi nodded. Amy was up and moved in front of them. "You open fire and my father will have your balls on a platter for you to eat by the end of the night."

The guards hesitated for a few seconds and that's all they needed. Amy pulled her gun out and fired off two shots as Jaygen shifted in a matter of seconds and took down two more. Foi pushed his body and ripped the throat out of the man Amy had shot. Leaving none to live.

The sounds of pounding footsteps of a fucking army were heading their way. It was as if every time they cleared the room, more showed up. Foi hacked up blood, his body doing shit to heal the no doubt broken rib that was more than likely penetrating a lung.

Jaygen glanced back and shifted. "Get out of here now." He ordered.

Foi shifted and crashed to his knees. "Jaygen, we aren't leaving you behind."

Jaygen growled and yanked Foi up by his hair. The pain was nothing to what he was already feeling. "Go now. I won't repeat myself, mutt." His ice-blue eyes softened for the briefest of seconds. "Porter needs you all of you. Go."

But Porter needed Jaygen too. Foi bit his tongue seeing the determination in the damn cat's eyes. "We will come back for you." Foi forced himself on his feet. "Stay alive Jaygen, or I will get a witch to raise your corpse so I can toss dirt on you."

Jaygen's perfect lips lifted in the faintest of smiles and Foi wanted nothing more than to demand the tiger shifter escape with them. But he never got the chance as Jaygen shifted into his giant tiger form and let out an ear-shattering roar before leaping over the banister. He darted in the opposite direction making the guards follow him.

Foi reluctantly turned away and stumbled slightly. "We have to go now."

Ozni glanced to where Jaygen had just left and had a passed out Cyrus clinging tightly to his chest. Amy clutched her arm near her own chest, blood seeping from the wound.

"Amy, do you know of any escape routes?" Foi asked. He didn't want to jump out of the window. He'd be breaking more bones and wasting the precious seconds Jaygen had awarded them.

She nodded, thank goodness. "Come on." She led them down a hall and to a room that had to be a spare bedroom. She pointed to the patio.Shit, it looked like they were jumping.

Foi didn't hesitate. He went out looking around and was surprised there weren't any guards outside. He didn't wait for another second as he hopped over the balcony and caught himself barely in a crouch. He gritted his teeth, but he glanced back up. He had his hands stretched out, ready for Amy to jump, but she smirked at him and jumped off doing a fancy flip and landing in what some would call a superhero pose. She winced only slightly but righted herself.

"Porter isn't the only one who was trained," she said.

Wait a minute, Porter could do that? Foi knew Porter wasn't weak and he'd mentioned being trained, but he was wondering just how trained his human was.

Ozni was last with Cyrus in his arms. Not a single strand on the incubus's hair rustled as Ozni came down.

"Don't worry Oz, he's okay," Foi said. He pushed his own fingers through the silky strands of Cyrus's hair and sighed with relief as the man let out a breathy groan. Any noise was good at that point.

"Come on. Not to break up this tender moment but we have to make it across the grounds without being caught," Amy said. She was scanning their surroundings, and Foi joined her.

"We have a car on the west side," Foi said.

"Good, we’re close," Amy said as she made a break for it.

Foi shifted. Ozni nodded before he sped away, just as Foi head-butted Amy’s leg.

"This night just gets stranger and stranger." She hopped onto his back and Foi took off as fast as his body would allow. He pushed past every limit possible and they made it to the wall that surrounded the property in record time.

Foi shifted back and grunted as he helped Amy over it and hopped it himself. He glanced back for a brief second, hoping to see a glimpse of Jaygen. Anything. But there was no sight of him. And if he hadn't just been in the house, he wouldn't have known what was going on inside the walls.
