“We thought you left,” Spooky said. Leave it to the familiar to say what they all thought.

Micha’s eyes widened. “What, why?”

Arden cleared his throat. “I dropped the bomb of you five being my mates.”

“And don’t forget the part where you are getting married,” Spooky so helpfully added.

Eldon shook his head at the familiar; he was on a roll since he woke up. Micha was still holding Bash’s hand and it didn’t seem like either one of them were in any hurry to let each other go.

“You two finally crossed th—”

Gamble grabbed Spooky and covered his mouth with his hand. “That is enough out of you.”

Micha’s cheeks reddened, but he hadn’t pulled away from Bash.Something definitely happened between the two of them.

“Do you want to talk about it?” Arden asked.

Micha opened his mouth but shut it promptly. Eldon took a step toward the nephilim; there was something on his mind. And they couldn’t move forward as a group if one of them wasn’t on par with the others. But Micha was just as drawn to them as they were to him, so why?

There was a knock at the door before Eldon could get to him. Bash turned around to answer it with Micha right on his heels still clutching his hand like a lifeline.

“Arden, what the hell does he mean we have to get fitted for a ball?” Bash growled.

Gamble groaned. “Man, dragons do the most at all times.”

Arden was up and at the door in seconds. Eldon took it upon himself to get the guys together.

“You two finish getting dressed. Would you really want to let Arden go to a ball by himself where people will no doubt try and touch him?”

“What kind of people?” Spooky growled and the familiar looked ready to slaughter someone. It was cute and just the reaction Eldon was going for.

Eldon kept his face impassive and shrugged. “We wouldn’t want to give anyone the impression he is up for grabs.”

“But he is engaged, so wouldn’t they stay clear of him?” Micha asked.

Eldon leveled the sweet naive nephilim with a look.

“What?” Micha glanced around the room. Even Bash shook his head at the nephilim.

“Oh Micha you’re so cute,” Spooky cooed as he skipped over to the nephilim and kissed him. “Eldon’s right we have to be on the lookout. Arden is prime mistress real estate.”

Gamble shook his head but he didn’t argue. Bash made his way over to Eldon as Micha went to grab a different set of clothes.

“You know just what to say to get them in gear, huh?” Bash asked.

Eldon smirked at the bear shifter. “You and I both know I can do many things.”

A deep growl emitted from Bash and had Eldon smirking. “We talked about your growling,” Eldon whispered into Bash’s ear.

Bash gripped Eldon’s hip and pulled him close.

“Was Micha okay when you found him?”

Bash gave a curt nod. “He was wrapped up in his wings but he didn’t say what was bothering him. Why? What are you thinking?”

Eldon draped his arms over Bash’s shoulders and pushed his tattooed fingers into his thick auburn hair. “I’m not sure. I know Arden wants all of us.”

“What about you?” Bash asked.
