In the ageof social media, we have so much information right at our fingertips. I mean, you can find just about anyone within a few seconds. All you have to do is type in their name. However, that doesn't help when you have no idea who the fuck they are.

"What are you up to?" Jace asks as my fingers move furiously across the keyboard.

I sigh. "Trying to find out who the guy Tye has been hanging out with is."

"Because that's not stalkerish at all," he murmurs.

"Please. With the amount of shit she's been doing to me, he has to be an accomplice. Isn't it better to know your enemy?"

It's a bullshit excuse, and we both know it. The reasons I want to find this guy have nothing to do with the pranks Tye has been pulling on me and everything to do with Tye herself.

"Tell me if you recognize this guy," I say, grabbing my phone and pulling up the picture I took last night at Hypnotic.

He cocks a brow at me. "You snuck a picture of him. That's...completely sane and normal."

"Shut up and just tell me if you know who he is."

"I don't," he admits. "But do you really think he's that important? I mean, Tye doesn't date."

I shrug. "Then why did he stay for hours?"

"She works at a bar. I'd hardly call hanging out there an inconvenience."

I open my mouth to clap back when my phone rings. Wyatt's name on the screen makes my heart lurch in my chest, and even Jace notices. He rolls his eyes and chuckles at me as I answer it.

"What'd you find?"

He exhales slowly. "Honestly, not too much. She doesn't have any social media, so that made it hard to get a lot of intel, but I still managed to find a few things."

I lean back on the couch and rest my ankle across my knee. "Fill me in."

"Well, for one, her father is in prison. The—”

“Wait,” I cut him off. “I thought her parents died when she was young.”

“That’s what I thought too, based on her testimony at Jace’s trial, but no. They’re both very much alive,” he assures, shocking the hell out of me. “The case is sealed so I don't have the details, but he was sentenced to twenty-five years when Tyeler was ten. Her mother has had numerous DUIs over the years, and it looks like custody of Tyeler was handed over to Mr. And Mrs. Sorrentino shortly after her father's sentencing. Aren't they Davianna's parents?"

"Yeah, they are."

I knew that Davianna’s parents took Tye in and basically raised her as their own. It’s always been shocking to me. Knowing them both, I would never expect that they came from the same household.

“If Tyeler’s parents are still alive, can you see why Davi’s parents ended up with custody of Tye?”

He hums, the sound of clicking in the background. "No. Since she was a minor at the time, all that is sealed. All I can see is that her father is still in Miami Correctional, and it looks like her mom and brother still live in the area."

Brother?"She has a brother?"

"Yeah. He's a few years older. Twenty-five as of this year." He pauses. "You didn't know?"

"No, but I'm realizing there's a lot I don't know about her."

"Maybe that's not exactly a bad thing," he suggests.

"What do you mean?"

He sighs. "Well, it looks like she disappeared for a bit. From the week after Davi died until right before Jace's trial, there's no record of her at all. It's like she just vanished."

"That's strange," I remark. "I know she was a mess after Davi died, but I assumed she moved back home."
