“Don’t be ridiculous, you are not.”

I walked up to her, and looked down into her eyes “Fucking watch me!”

I walked to the doand or, opening it, she was on my heels. “Just calm down.” She got in front of me. “You slit his throat and you won't make it out of this house alive.”

“I don’t give a shit.” I jogged down the stairs, a young woman walking through with linens in her hands. “Where the hell is Sergio?”

She looked up at me, shocked. “In his office.”

I turned down the hallway, towards his offiwalkedking up to the door, and grabbing the knob. She put herself in between me and the door. “Stop this is ridiculous.”

“What’s ridiculous is you trying to stop me.” I grabbed her waist, and pulled her to the side, pushing through the door.

Sergio looked up at me, then behind me as she walked. “What the hell? Alora, why are you walking around the house dressed like that?”

I walked towards him, pushing him up against the wall, knife to his throat. “What the fuck did I tell you about putting hands on my wife?”

He gave me a big smile. “Go ahead, do it. See how far you get before they kill you.”

I pushed the knife into his throat, breaking the skin just a little bit. “Consider this your last warning. Touch her again and I won't stop.” I pulled away, turning to leave.

“Hey!” I turned around; his gun was drawn and pointed at me. “Consider this your last warning. Put a knife to my throat again, and I will end you.”

“Keep your hands off my wife and we won't have any more problems.”

He lowered the gun. “I won't kill you now, not yet. But mark my words boy, one day I am going to kill you.”

I grabbed Alora’s wrist, pulling her with me towards the door. “Not if I kill you first.” I slammed the door, pulling her back up the stairs to our room.

She pulled away as we walked in. “Let go of me. I don’t need a man to protect me, I can take care of myself.”

I shut the door and turned, grabbing her around the waist. Pushing her against the wall, my body pressing into hers. “You listen to me.” She pushed against me, using her legs to try and knock me down. I grabbed her wrists, pushing them up over her head, gripping them with my right arm. Pinning them to the wall. I pushed her legs apart, my left thigh pushed between them lifting her slightly off the ground. The tips of her toes barely touched. She continued to fight to try and free herself from me. “You are strong, you proved that today. But as long as you are my wife, fake or not, no one will lay a hand on you. Do you understand me? And if they do, they will have to deal with me.”

She tried to pull her arms down, to push herself off with the tips of her toes. But it was useless, all she was accomplishing was grinding herself up and down my leg. Her body squirmed, one last attempt to free herself from my grip. Or was it something else? She stopped and looked at me, her pupils pulsating. Was she mad, or turned on? Maybe both. I looked down her face, down her neck to her chest. Rising and falling quickly. She swallowed as my eyes trailed back up to hers. She was definitely turned on. Her cheeks flushed as she stared back at me. And dammit if I didn't want to just lean in, press my lips to hers. Rotate my hips into her body so she could see how turned on this position had me too.

“You are strong and skilled. You pinned me down today, totally caught me off guard.” I leaned in inches from her lips. “But let this be a lesson to you. Most men can still take you in strength. You have to be smarter, use other tactics to catch them off guard.”

She stared at me for a moment, then leaned in. Her lips crashed to mine, her tongue slipping into my mouth. I pushed my tongue against hers, fighting for dominance. Before I knew it her right leg had wrapped around my leg. She used such force, she pulled it out from under me, catching me off guard. I tumbled to the floor, crashing down on my back, taking her with me. She straddled my waist, her hand coming to my neck, squeezing.

She glared at me. “Something like that?”

“Yes, very effective.”

“Don’t expect that to happen again. I used what I had at my disposal to get free from your grip. Don’t let it go to your head.” She stood up and walked toward the bathroom.

I laughed and stood up. “I think you liked having my body pressed up against yours.”

She stopped at the door, turning and looking over her shoulder. “I assure you, I didn’t.”

I smiled and glanced down at the wet spot on my pants, then back up at her. “Are you sure about that?”

She looked down at my pants, then back up at me. Shock registered on her face for a split second. Gone so quickly I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn’t been staring at her. She rolled her eyes, shutting the door behind her. I smiled, shaking my head. I liked getting under her skin and liked the way her body felt grinding against my leg. Pushing her buttons in every way might just become my new favorite pastime.

I woke up and rolled over, the room was still dark besides the little light creeping in from the window. Sleeping on this couch over the last week was not comfortable. I heard her shuffle in bed, a whimper leaving her lips. “You, ok?” She didn’t answer. I sat up on my elbow, turning to look at her. Her head shook back and forth.

“No,” left her lips almost breathless, I could barely hear her. “I’m,” I could hear her breathing increasing, her legs pushing up and down underneath the blanket, “sorry, I, no.” Her head started shaking back and forth, violently.

I stood up, walking to the side of the bed. “Alora, wake up, you're dreaming.”
