“Shush, don’t talk. I need to warm you up before you die.”
Was this… death? My heaven? I bury my face into his furry. “W-warm.”
He stiffens. Before setting me on the couch. Cupping my face, he speaks. “Do you trust me, mouse?”
What?
“Hey, hey, stay with me.”
I open my eyes as my world shakes. The monster is in front of me, peering down his skull head at me. Not the human.
“Do you trust me?”
Slowly, I nod. My mind is so fogged, it feels like there’s a chunk of ice in my skull.
In one swipe of the claws, all of my clothing is ripped from my body. He pulls back and I watch as he pulls all the clothing off of his furry body. My eyes move down his chest to his lined stomach. “I won’t die a virgin?”
“You’re not dying.” Growling, he scoops me in his arms and slowly lowers us both to the ground. In a second, my shaking body is engulfed by warm thick fur.
“O-oh.” I shiver out, wrapping my arm around his large body and clenching the fur on his back. He reaches down and wraps my legs around his waist.
“I got you. I got you.”
I shiver and breathe heavily against him. “W-what h-happened?” My mind is blank about the last few minutes and why I have a major brain freeze.
“You almost drowned.” I feel his palm press to the back of my head. “I’m so sorry, I left you alone.”
“You-you saved-ed me,” I shiver.
“I heard cries and came as fast as I could… It wasn’t fast enough.” I hear him sniff.
My hand travels up his back and into the long fur by his head. My body aches and feels so tired. I take a calming breath, trying to stop the shivering. “You’re my monster, aren’t you?”
He stiffens. “Yeah… Yeah… I’m the - your… Yeah.”
“Okay…” I whisper, before falling asleep pressed against him.
