I took the blunt from him and pulled on it. Lying back against the couch, I stared at the wooded ceiling fan osculating in a slow circle.
“If her breakup withol’boy was as messy asthe girl say it is, thenI’m sure I’d be able to fire her for fraternizing. Win. Win. I won’t be breaking one of the rules that I’ve fired plenty of people for, and I’ll get some pussy. And make sure to hit right before she moved back to the country, so I won’t know if she’s crazy or not.”
“No fucking doubt.” Price dapped me up.
“What thefuck y’all dapping each other for?” Ryan asked, stumbling back into our section.
“No reason, nigga. You back quick as hell,” Price noted and laughed.
“She had some grip. I’m drunk and high. And I’m not ashamed.”
I laughed. “Dumb ass.”
After spending a couple more hourswith them, I left the club and headed to have a nightcap with one of myregulars. I needed to get laid to recalibrate my mind.
