A knock sounds on the door, and I suck in a shuddering breath, my stomach flipping with my nerves. I’m more excited and antsy than anything, but no matter what I do, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to shake the dark feeling. Not until—

Adrian cracks the door open, whistling under his breath as he drinks me in. And just like that, the blip of negativity vanishes as I stare at my alpha and pack leader standing before me, more handsome than ever in a tuxedo with a small sunflower pinned to his lapel.

“Are you ready, my beautiful bride? I’ll be the one walking you down the aisle.” Adrian leans in and kisses me softly like he can’t resist even a foot of space between us. “I’m so honored to be your alpha. This is the best day of my life, Scarlett.”

“I’ve never been more ready. I can’t wait to officially call you my husband. To have and to hold, for the rest of my life and for all of time.” I rub my hands on his cheek and down his neck, letting him kiss me once more.

Ms. Sandy smiles and pats Adrian on the shoulder, sliding past us with her own bouquet, acting as my bridesmaid and witness. I open my arms to Adrian, hugging him close for a moment as soft piano music trickles through the air.

Adrian pulls my veil down over my face, smiling at me as he offers his arm. I stare at my princess-style dress, the skirt sweeping with my movements. The sweetheart neckline accentuates my cleavage and tiny crystals glitter from the bodice. It was the first one I tried on and fell in love with it immediately. It’s as if we aren’t rushing to wed but as if this is our destiny. My perfect alphas. My perfect dress. The perfect day with soft white clouds, azure skies, and sunshine sparkling through the rainbow mural of the stained-glass windows.

Ms. Sandy strolls ahead of us, entering the nave of the chapel. She announces my arrival, drawing Jonah, Dominic, Ezra, and Leo’s attention my way. Leo whistles between his fingers, catcalling me. Heat blooms in my cheeks. Adrian chuckles, his deep voice melodious with his happiness.

“I can’t believe this is really happening,” I whisper under my breath, my heartbeat erratic with anticipation.

Adrian strolls with me down the aisle, watching me in his peripheral vision. “You’re already ours, so believe it. I’m the happiest man alive.”

“That’s questionable,” Ezra says, stepping forward from his spot between Jonah and Leo. He holds his hands out to me, grasping my fingers. “I’m nearly certain that title belongs to me.”

“It’s not a competition, is it, Lettie?” Dominic asks, lifting my veil and flipping it over my head. He tilts his head and studies my face, drawing his gaze to my lips a moment before he kisses me.

“Because you know I’m the happiest man alive. I fucking scored. She’s stunning.” Leo kisses me next and traces his finger over my collarbone.

“Irresistible and magnificent. What love looks like in tangible form. My beautiful, incredible omega. I can’t wait to call you my wife.” Jonah smiles at me, gently taking my bouquet and handing it to Ms. Sandy. She sits next to Dean Clearwater, who remains utterly silent and expressionless.

I’ve never seen the officiant before, but the old man seems warm enough, his smile easing my worry about having a stranger among us. But Dean Clearwater assured that the justice of peace was an ally and a prestigious member of Pack Clearwater.

“It’s a joyous day for such an incredible occasion,” the justice of peace says, standing before us. “I’m honored to unite Pack Hart with their perfect omega in matrimony. Happily ever afters are usually the end of a romance, but as you stand before me today, I’d like to declare that it is only the beginning. Through time and work, you have found comfort and safety within one another. And today, we celebrate such a union. Under the recognition of the Pack Clearwater law and upon your vows, I will happily declare you as husbands and wife. Misters Hart, please surround your bride, showing her what strength comes from her being the center of your pack. You may each recite your vows.”

Adrian turns me to him first as the others encircle me between their bodies, not allowing the world outside of them to see me. He clasps my hands between his. “Scarlett, it is a great honor to stand before you as the leader of our pack. You are the woman of my dreams, and I’m so fortunate to be able to share you in a union with Jonah, Leo, Ezra, and Dominic. I know we’ve had some rough times, but we’ve also had incredible moments. From this point forward, I can’t promise that our life will be perfect, but I can promise that our pack will fulfill your every dream and fantasy. And we will not stop. We will continue to grow and learn and navigate this world in a way that satisfies us on every level. I promise to always protect you. To cherish you. To love you even at the worst of times and always love you during the best moments. You are my everything. You are our world, and you will always be. I love you.”

Leo clears his throat and takes my hands next with a wink. “I don’t know how I’m going to follow that, but I will always try my best to be a good alpha to you. I will carry your sexy ass around for as long as you let me. I will make you sweat in ways that you enjoy. And mostly, I will always try to make you laugh, fighting against any sadness that could dare threaten you. I love you more than I ever knew possible, and with every passing day, that continues to grow. I can’t wait for the beginning of the rest of our lives. I love you, my dirty girl.”

Heat flushes my face, and I giggle, patting him on the shoulder. His vow was so perfectly him that I savor the moment. One by one, each of my alphas spills their hearts to me, filling me up with love and affection and everything I need to move forward, stronger and better than ever. Because I’m not just their omega. I’m their wife and companion. I’m their friend and their pack mate. And soon, I know I will be the mother of their children. I will be everything to them as they are everything to me and more.

I stretch out my arms, coaxing them to all step closer and smother me between their bodies. “I know that being with me has been a challenge, and I can’t promise that things will get easier. But what I can promise is that I will always be loyal and give you whatever you need on any level. I will be your confidant and your shoulder to cry on. I will be the vessel for your strength and your pleasure. I vow to satiate more than just your desire. I will learn from you and grow with you. But I will also teach you. I will keep you on your toes and support you through all our life stages. Through the messy. Through the sick or injured times. And through our most joyous moments. I love you all, and I will remind you of it every second of every day. For the rest of our lives, and longer than that.”

“Now, with these vows, under the authority of Pack Clearwater, I must ask you to formally agree to this union. So please, Misters Hart, do you take Scarlett Steele as your lawfully wedded wife?”

“I do,” the five of them say, grinning at me with enough happiness that it fills me up, sending energy through me.

“Ms. Scarlett Steele, do you take Adrian, Jonah, Dominic, Ezra, and Leo of Pack Hart to be your lawfully wedded husbands?” The justice of peace nods his head at me, a soft smile playing on his lips.

“I do,” I say, my face lighting up with a smile that hurts my cheeks.

“With the power vested in me under the authority of Pack Clearwater and in front of the witnesses close to your heart, I now pronounce you husbands and wife, a union of the daughter of Pack Steele and the alphas of Pack Hart. You may now kiss the bride.” The justice of peace holds his hands up and steps back.

My guys smother me with kisses, peppering every inch of my face and shoulders and arms. I giggle and squirm between them, capturing each of their mouths one at a time until I have kissed all five of them and now stand so excited and relieved. Flying on the adrenaline of finally getting what I want.

The justice of peace claps his hands along with Ms. Sandy and Dean Clearwater. “It is with great pleasure to formally announce Misters and Mrs. Ha—”

Glass shatters, cutting off the justice of peace, and I don’t have a chance to react as a metal canister thuds on the aisle between the pews. Adrian hollers and scoops me up, the canister exploding in a cloud of smoke that obscures our views.

“Head out the back!” Jonah yells, his voice hoarse as he coughs.

Panic swells through me. What the fuck is happening? This has to be Chaz’s doing. He’s a goddamn psycho. He’s the type to ruin someone’s wedding day.

“Hand over Scarlett Steele. Do so without fighting, and we won’t have a problem.” A grumbly, unfamiliar voice booms through the air, and a silhouette stands at the entrance to the chapel, sunlight and smoke obscuring his appearance.
