“I’m not going back to the Grove, Max. I quit for a reason. Besides it’s too far out for me now.”
Max looked over my shoulder at the house behind me. Then his eyes found mine again. “What? You find yourself a nice sugar daddy to open your legs for and now he is letting you live with him?”

I looked at my hand, wide-eyed, and he looked at me with a fury I had never seen on him before.
