Page 39 of Making Time for Us

Our bodies intertwined and our lips locked, we make out like we’re starved for each other until sleep beckons and we spend the night cradled in each other’s arms.

The sun peeks through the window and I open one eye to see Ellie staring at me. She’s now on her side of the bed facing me.

“Hey, handsome. How’d you sleep?”

“Really hard. It was what I needed,” I say as I rub the sleep from my eyes.

Placing her hand on my cheek, she says, “I’m so glad.”

“What time is it anyway?”

“It’s early. The kids probably aren’t even up yet.” She wiggles her eyebrows, her pupils growing around her blue irises and she begins to run her hands down my chest. Beneath the covers, she keeps going south until she reaches the waistband of my boxer briefs. “I need you,” she whispers, and her words send chills across my body.

My morning wood is no longer fueled by the morning as she wraps her hand around me, my hips jerking under her touch.

I place both my hands behind my head as I stare down at the bump in the blanket. She gives me a tight squeeze and a throaty grunt escapes my lips.

In a flash, she removes her hand, pulls back the covers, and straddles me. The cotton from both our underwear still between us, she begins to slowly rub her clit on me as a hum escapes my lips. She moans and picks up the pace and I can feel her moisture, even through the fabric.

I reach my hands down to free my penis from my boxers as she lifts up to slide her panties to the side. We're skin on skin now, but she doesn't allow me in. Instead, she slides up and down on my penis spreading her moisture between us. Slowly she aligns herself to join us but before I can make my way inside, a knock comes from the door.

“Mom! There aren’t any bananas in the fruit holder,” Jonathan shouts through the door.

Ellie stills but doesn’t get off me.

Christ, child, go away.

“That must mean we’re out of bananas. Grab an apple or grapes from the fridge,” Ellie shouts at the locked door.

“But I don’t want an apple or grapes. I want a banana,” he protests.

“I’m sorry, kiddo. I’ll add it to the grocery list, but right now we don’t have any. Fix some cereal for you and your brother and sisters and you can eat in the living room while you watch a cartoon. I’ll be right there to help get you guys ready for school.”

“Yes!” I hear him yell as he walks away and Ellie giggles.

“That should keep them occupied for a few minutes,” I say.

“I feel like we’re sneaking around like we did in college. Except this time, we don’t have to worry about roommates or RA’s catching us, just tiny little terrorists demanding bananas.”

“I’ve got a demanding banana for you,” I tease as I wrap my arms around her and flip us in one swift motion before driving home.

Her breath catches and she wraps her legs around my hips to draw me closer. I hear her whisperyyeeessssas I slowly withdraw, but before I slide back in again we hear a softknock, knock.

Fuck! Not this again.

Ellie places her hands on my chest to still me. “Who is it?”

Liliana’s soft voice says, “Mommy, have you seen my purple shoes? I want to wear my purple shoes today, but I can’t find them.”

“Okay, baby. Give me a few minutes to get dressed and I’ll help you find your purple shoes.” Ellie looks up at me with regretful eyes, and whispers, “I think it’s time to get up and go parent.”

“I don’t want to,” I whine as I lean down and begin to bite her neck.

She giggles and swats me away. “Get up, big boy. Get some comfy clothes on so we can drop off the kids.”

“Fine, but I want cereal and cartoons too,” I tease and tickle her ribs as I jump off her.

She laughs, then reluctantly stands to head to the bathroom to get ready for the day.
