“I don’t want to make the same mistake again,” I said, my eyes gazing into hers. Would she let me kiss her? Was I moving too fast?

Her lips were swiftly on mine while I was in between thoughts, and sparks flew through my body. I always wondered if her lips would taste like cherry chapstick, as a kid I never imagined the hint of grape wine. Her hands rushed through my hair, and pulled me in closer, not wanting me to let go. Hell, I didn’t want to. I’d kiss her as long as she’d let me.

When our lips let go of one another, our eyes met and the smiling started. Her eyes sparkled, like happiness was instilled inside. “Wow, even better than the first time.”

“I can do better.” She replied.

My glance caught the glowing eleven p.m. showing on my clock on the dash, and that meant it was time for me to get home. We both worked tomorrow, and my shift started bright and early before most people were up. I’d be able to get a couple hours before I had to be up, if I left now.

“As much as I’d love to sit here with you, my shift starts in five hours. Let’s get you home.”

I wished the date didn’t have to end. I could’ve stayed in that car all night talking to her, but duty called. This was the start of my fairytale ending.

Chapter 8

Camilla

All I could think aboutthe next day was that kiss.

Sebastian: Wanna hangout today?

Me: Sure. Time?

I started getting ready since he could show up at any point. I wasn’t sure what we were going to be doing. I checked my phone, and he replied.

Sebastian: Be there in 30. Be comfortable.

I threw on some jeans, a tank top, converse and threw my hair up in a bun when I heard him pull up outside.

“Wow, your motorcycle is beautiful.” It’s black with turquoise accents. He handed me a helmet, leather gloves and a protective jacket.

“It could get frigid, so the protective jacket should keep ya warmth if it gets chilly while we’re riding.”

I used his shoulders to balance and then the foot peg as a step shifting my legs around to mount the motorcycle. It’s harder than it looks on TV.

“Here’s your crash course. Going around the corner, lean with the turns.”
