I can’t wait for more.

Your asshole

Distant laughterand the sound of a chainsaw had me waking, and I found myself being held down. Fear spiked in me for a second before I realized the chainsaw was coming from behind me, the noise sending vibrations through my body. Laughter sounded out again, and I recognized Simon’s hyena chuckle, further calming me. I tried to peek over my shoulder at who had me snuggled close. I could feel their breath hitting my neck with each rumbly exhale. The grip was so tight, though, I couldn’t even budge.

Glancing down at the arm, the tattoos gave me the answer I sought—my Tatzilla. Almost as if he could feel my intent to get up, he pulled me closer, his lips now on my neck, causing goosebumps to erupt. I didn’t want to admit how nice it felt to be held by him. He smelled of pure masculine seduction, and it wafted around me in a cozy hug.

“Peach, go back to sleep. I’m not ready to let you go.”

“But I gotta… you know,” I whispered, unable to admit I needed to pee.

“You gotta what,Peach?” He whispered back sleepily, his lips caressing my sensitive skin as he pulled me impossibly closer. My body betrayed my heart, attempting to convince me to snuggle back into his embrace despite not being there mentally.

“Slade, please, I really need to drop the kids off at the pool!”

His hand let go of me instantly, and he lifted his head, looking down at me. “You need to take ashit, Peach?”

Horrified, I scrambled out of bed now that his arm was off me. “That’swhat that means? Holy Pajamas!” Too shocked to fix my blunder, I stumbled to a door I hoped was the bathroom and shut it behind me. Face flaming, I found a light switch as Slade’s chuckles followed me in. I ignored them as I leaned back against the door, banging my head.

“I’m going to murder, Noah,” I mumbled, finally opening my eyes. Thankfully, the room I found myself inwasthe bathroom, and I rushed over to relieve myself continuing to mutter about little brothers.

Feeling better, I tossed some water on my face and looked around the sink. A letter sat on the counter addressed to me. Sitting down, I opened it and found myself falling into a time warp where Blaze and Nox could share their feelings without recourse.

Wiping my eyes, I stood, trying to digest the letter. Going through the motions, I found a brush and picked it up to use, hoping it was Simon’s, and not the owners. I managed to find mouthwash as well, and swished it around. Peering down at myself, I realized I was wearing different clothes than I’d been in yesterday. An oversized shirt fell off my shoulders that could only be Slade’s, the size and color a dead giveaway. Not to mention the “I’m the tattoo artist you should’ve gone to” script on the front of it. I was thankful someone had changed me though because sleeping in jeans was miserable.

Shrugging, I figured it was probably Simon, not that it mattered since both of them had seen me naked, and I trusted them. The realization that I did trust them hit me. I was still upset with all the lies, but under the hurt was a solid foundation of trust and love. Slade’s letter ran through my head as well, searing itself on my heart. At first, the realization I cared for them sat heavily on my chest, the need to deny it, to push it away, almost instinctive after years of doing it, of not even trusting my own heart.

I was tired of doing the same thing over and over, though.

My encounter with Babs filtered through my head, and I knew she was right. It was time I stopped blaming my curse and took ownership of my own choices. I’d had some misfortunes, but it didn’t discount all the other wonderful things. Plus, I’d been in love with two guys for so long, no one else ever stood a chance. It wasn’t a curse, just that my heart hadn’t had room for anyone else. That was until Duncan. He’d been the exception… and possibly Zane.

They’d both been the only other two times I felt the same connection I felt to Simon and Slade. I could choose at this moment to keep lying to myself that I didn’t care for S&S still, or I could embrace it and begin to live a life full of love. Duncan would want that, and I needed to live for him as well. If I was honest, I knew things still needed to be figured out between the three of them, even Zane. But none of that could happen in this bathroom.

Taking a deep breath, I stepped back into the bedroom and found Slade snuggled up to my pillow, snoring softly. I was jealous of his ability to fall back to sleep that quickly. Smiling at his peaceful form, I brushed his hair across his face and kissed his forehead before walking out into the other rooms. He only snored louder in response as I shut the door. It was nice to find the walking sex God had flaws. Of course, he’d been an Alpha-hole for years, so I guess he’d never been perfect. His hotness just distracted me at times.

I took in my surroundings as I made my way toward the laughter, and ended up in a kitchen. I found Zane and Simon laughing as they made breakfast. I stood watching them for a few minutes, enjoying the view. Neither had shirts on, only bottoms. Simon was in some low-slung grey sweatpants that I knew from previous experience were a walking thirst trap. Zane wore low-slung basketball shorts that were doing nice things for his backside.

He turned at one point, catching me checking out his butt, and his smile lit up his handsome face. Stalker Thane might’ve been one of the most attractive guys I’d ever met, but he had nothing on real Thane. You couldn’t fake his cheerful nature or kind spirit, and that went a long way in the looks department for me.

“Good morning, sunshine.”

I swear angels started singing at the radiant smile he beamed at me. His comment had Simon turning, a grin covering his face too. He immediately put down whatever he’d been working on and walked toward me.

“Lenn, how are you feeling this morning? You kind of passed out yesterday and slept for a whole day.”

He naturally grabbed my arms as he spoke, our life-long friendship and comfortableness giving way to the behavior. I raised my brows when I realized what he said. “Really? Wow. I guess I needed it with everything that’s been going on over the past few days. Fudge! What about work, though? I had appointments last night.”

“Slade called Adam and had them rescheduled.”

“Adam?” I mumbled but shook my head, not caring as long as it had been taken care of. “So, what?” I smiled. “Y’all decided to have a sleepover? Where are we exactly?”

“Yeah, well, we couldn’t decide on who got to stay with you, so we decided to bring you to the place we’re renting and then could take turns cuddling with you.”

My face heated up at the thoughtfulness and the fact that three guys wanted to cuddle with me. “Oh, well, thanks.”

“It’s cute seeing you blush.”

“I have to agree. Your blush is adorable,” Zane piped in. I looked over Simon’s shoulder and found him watching us, an easy smile on his face, though it was edged with some sadness. My stomach reminded me I hadn’t eaten in a day, roaring its displeasure, so I decided to drop the heavy emotions for now.
