Eladehl just reached down for the hem of his shirt and pulled it over his head. "Don't leave on our account. And if you need something to wipe away the drool, use my shirt." A smile took over his perfect lips. "Or his."

Then he popped Wraythe in the chest with his knuckles, encouraging his friend to join him. So no, I didn't leave. I set up my blanket where I'd dropped it, lay down on my belly, and pretended to read. The truth was that my eyes were focused over the top of the page. And when Wraythe pulled off his shirt after a few minutes? I may have squeezed my knees together as I waggled my feet behind me.

Because it seemed that beauty came in many different shapes and styles. Wraythe might not have the face of a god, but his body was the most magnificent thing I'd ever seen. I was pretty sure that not even Jamik had that many muscles, and Wraythe's didn't come with the weird feeling.

Chapter 12

Nariana

The three of us became friends after that. When Ciella was around, I made a point to hang all over Wraythe. When we were alone, Eladehl tried to drag me into everything they did. Mostly, it was moving. We had two weeks to get our things out of our old rooms and into our new ones, and I wished the break was longer. Granted, most of us didn't really do much until the last few days.

But moving was a lot different with big, strong friends. Eladehl wasn't nearly as muscular as Wraythe, but he certainly wasn't weak. When the pair showed up at my room and offered to carry things, I loaded them up. In exchange, I went to theirs and started putting their possessions into boxes. Surprisingly, Eladehl had almost as many clothes as I did, and a bit more jewelry. Wraythe didn't. He had a lot of books, and one very worn stuffed dog.

I was setting it at the top of a box when he rounded the corner. His eyes saw what I was holding, and I swear his face drained of color. "That's not what you think," he snapped.

"I didn't really think," I assured him. "I mean, I guess I figured it was from your old life."

"It was my sister's. She gave it to me after I touched the tears."

"The last thing you have of your family, huh?" I pushed the box at him. "I didn't even get that."

"What about the rabbit?" he asked, proving he'd looked around my room a little.

"Jamik gave it to me. He thought it would help if I had something to hold on to."

Wraythe nodded. "Eladehl has a necklace from his mom. Has a key on it. He can't remember where they lived, but it's supposed to be the key to the door."

"You talking about me?" Eladehl asked.

"About the things we kept. My dog, your necklace. Nariana doesn't have anything."

"Then what's the rabbit?" Eladehl asked. "The one youalwayskeep on your bed."

I gaped at him in shock. "How did you know that?"

"Because I used to look in the doors when they opened, hoping to see someone naked." His grin proved that was a lie. "Nah, I was behind you on the first day. All the rest of us were so confused, and you walked in with this gorgeous priestess, holding that rabbit. Anver said it lives on your bed."

"You know Anver?" Because he was still pretty much my only other friend.

Eladehl smiled. "First boy I kissed. Pretty sure he wasn't into it, though."

"He said it was ok, but he kissed me to see if it was better." I shrugged. "Guess we have something in common, huh?"

Eladehl jerked his head back toward Wraythe. "I haven't kissedhim."

"Just no," Wraythe groaned. "Not happening, Ela."

So Eladehl leaned closer and pretended to lower his voice. "He likesgirls."

"What about you?" Wraythe asked.

I could only shrug. "I dunno."

That got Eladehl's attention. "You ever kissed a girl?"

"Nope."

"Wanna?" His eyes were sparkling mischievously.
