We walked in and everyone was in the showers, getting washed up. I took this time to lay out the ground rules for him, so he knew the flow of things.

Calix came downstairs first and walked into the kitchen.

“Calix, this is Garrison. Garrison. Calix.”

Calix nodded and then had a questioning look on his face.

“What’s wrong?”

“I expected Snow to be back from town by now.”

“I’m sure she’s fine. Enzo’s with her.” I mocked.

“That’s what I’m concerned about. They’ve been getting pretty close lately,” he quickly added. “Not that I have a problem with that, I’m just saying.”

“Of course you don’t.” I tried to sound as apathetic as I could, but I could see the look on his face. He was swooning over her, too. This mother fucking house and Snow!

“She is a beautiful girl. Almost mesmerizing at times.” Garrison added.

I cut my eyes at him and he chuckled. Not him too!

The front door opened and Snow was laughing at something Enzo said as she walked in. She stopped and looked at me and then at Garrison.

“Hunter?” she asked confused.

“Who is Hunter?” I asked.

She pointed at Garrison.

“What the hell?”

She quickly added. “He never told me his name, so it was the name I gave him.”

“You know each other?”

“I told you we did, brother.”

“For the last time…” I warned, and he held his hands up.

“Brother?” She asked, looking at us.

“Don’t say it out loud,” Garrison joked.

“Fuck off.”

“I don’t understand.” She looked at Garrison, ignoring me.

“It’s a long story.” I said.

“Can you tell me your name, then?”

“It’s Garrison.”

She smiled, “Nice to meet you Garrison. I don’t think that was so hard.”

Enzo leaned around Snow and held his hand out. “Nice to meet you, man. Gage has told us so much about you.”

I rolled my eyes, regretting bringing him here.
