"Carson!" She flung her arms around me and kissed me on the lips.
Above us, the sun smiled, and the birds sang as she said without holding back, "I love you, Carson."
I pushed her back, so I could see the tears in her eyes, tears of happiness. "Now, you never gave me an answer, my love."
She snatched the ring away from my finger. "I do," she replied with a wide smile.
