"Really?"

"What? I mean, I'm sure I could teach you a thing or two about kissing."

"Uh-huh, You could teach me a thing or two about kissing." He smiled then. "So are we better now? Is that cleared up?"

"I guess so." I smiled at him willingly. "I mean, if you didn't call me a fat pig, and you were really worried that I thought you were a bad kisser..."

"I was."

"And then I suppose..."

"You suppose what?"

"I suppose I can forgive and forget, and we could move on."

"Great," he said. He pulled me in for a hug. "Thank you. That means the world to me, Rosalie. You don't understand just how much I've thought about that night and how I've wanted to ask Foster how you're doing, and what you're doing, and if he knew why you weren't talking to me, and why you were avoiding me, but I just couldn't."

"It's okay. So where do we go from here," I said, chewing on my lower lip. I noticed that Oliver was looking toward the door. "We can have this conversation later if you want to. I know you're missing your award ceremony and all that good stuff."

"It's fine," he said, "If you want to have it now, then..."

"No, you should go. I'm okay."

"And you're still not going to come with me."

"I'm kind of embarrassed to go in there. I look a little slutty."

"I think you look hot."

"Thank you," I said, "but I'm not dressed appropriately for a work function."

"No, you’re dressed more appropriately for a 'let's bang one out tonight' function." He winked at me, and I groaned.

"Really, Oliver?"

"What? It's true. Right?"

"Do you really have to say 'Let's bang one out?'"

"Oh, sorry. Would you rather me say a make love night?"

"No, that's not what I'm saying. I just think that..."

"You just think that what?" he asked with a wide smile on his face.

"I just think that you should know that..."

"Before you go any further, Rosalie, there's something I need to tell you."

"Oh." I raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"Something else that I haven't quite told you about."

"Well, you've told me about this event, and we've cleared up what happened all those years ago, so what else could it be?"

"Well, I..." He took a deep breath.

"Don't tell me. You really did get a penthouse suite, and you do want to spend the night with me." I grinned at him. "You know, you're going to have to work a little bit harder now, Oliver."
