“Sell me the bar,” I blurt out without an extra thought.

“You want…? What?”

“Let me buy you out of Pour Decisions. I don’t want to leave Sycamore Mountain, but I’m sure as hell not staying for a man I’m currently mad at. Now, I do want that grumpy idiot, but he has a lot to prove, and I can’t just move back up there and let him take care of me anymore. I’ve been under a man's thumb, whether it was my dad or my brother, my whole life. I need something for me, and what better than buying the bar I love?”

“Um, wow, ok then. Consider it yours. You got the money? Or do you want to head over to the bank?”

“I think I can swing it. Life savings come in handy when you want to start all over.”

“Ok, then.”

With that settled, a new purpose flows through my veins. Excitement I had never felt before courses through me, and I hope it would all be for the best. That this huge life decision I made a month ago led me here for a reason, and my happiness isn’t just pinned on Gavin. That’s too much to put on one person, and I won’t. It’s not fair. I need to go out and make my own way, starting with this bar.
