“Already? Savvy it’s almost midnight and you already said you had to get ready for work this week.”

“Fine!” I say with a little attitude and a pout a two-year-old would be proud of.

He just laughs at me which makes me wanna throat punch him.

He walks over to me, places his hands on my hips and looks down at me.

“I’ll be more than happy to bring you back anytime you like, just say the word, ok?”

“Ok.”

He carries the coolers to his SUV and loads them in the back as I go around and blow out all the candles, tie the garbage up and refold the blankets.

He takes the garbage and puts it in a locked dumpster. And walks me to my car.

“Thank you for a wonderful evening, Joshua.”

“I am following you to the hotel, Savannah.”

“For what?”

“Please get your mind out of the gutter. I just want to make sure you get there safely.”

“Oh,” I say completely embarrassed at this point.

He opens my car door and I get in and start the car.

He gets in his SUV and follows back to the main roads and towards the hotel. The whole way I am praying that Peter is not anywhere around. I make it back and thank goodness Peter is nowhere to be seen.

I get to the valet booth and before the valet could open my door Joshua opens my door. I hand the keys to the valet and walk towards the hotel doors. He stops me at the door, leans down and kisses me on the forehead and hands me the package I didn't notice him carrying.

“What’s this?”

“Your cake.”

I blush and can’t look him in the eye as I recall his reaction to my reaction of tasting that cake.

“I’ll see you later Savannah. Text me when you get to your room.”

“Ok.”

He watches me walk in the lobby and turns and gets back in his truck.

When I finally make it to my room, put the cake in the mini fridge, and strip all the way to the bathroom. I make sure to send Joshua a text to let him know I’m safely in my room and get in the shower.

I take my twists down, secure them in my bonnet and get in the bed naked. I am too tired to deal with clothes tonight. I’m dozing off when my phone chimes. Grabbing my phone and see it’s a text from Joshua that says good night hatima yangu. I blink in confusion at the screen, what the hell did he say? I reply to good night, I am too tired to try to figure that out tonight. I set my phone down, turnover and immediately fell asleep.
