Marcella flushed, color rising to her cheeks. Reginald drew his finger up and down her thigh, tracing swirls and shapes. His movements were slow, as though he intended to memorize every bit of her body. He was slow and measured, and Marcella steadied her breaths, as Reginald touched her for what felt like an eternity. The lady trembled just barely, but her eyes were bright already. Reginald placed his thumb on that one place, the flower of her sex, which would elicit the strongest reaction. Marcella gasped and arched her back, her expression of the most ecstatic joy. “Oh! Please!”
Reginald smiled, brushed aside the chestnut curls guarding her sex, and pressed his thumb against her once again against the place which Marcella believed was called the clitoris. The lady gasped and held onto the arms of her chair as if they were the only thing keeping her tethered to the world. For an instant, all thought fled her, lost as waves of pleasure rose and fell over her. With a sudden gasp, Marcella fell against the seat. “Did that please you?” Reginald asked, keeping his voice low.

Her face was bright with excitement. “I daresay I do, and I think that pleases you.”

Reginald’s eyes flickered to the receipts still scattered throughout the room. He fixed his eyes on the lady’s lovely face. She was a welcome distraction, indeed, but he couldn’t avoid his problems forever. Eventually, they’d overwhelm him.
