Falling For Autumn 23

Kolson

Kolsonwasoncloud nine as he strode into lifting on Monday. He couldn’t wait to see Autumn for their study session after.

“Hey,” Marco leaned against the lockers. “Great game Saturday.”

“Yeah.” Kolson removed his headphones.

“You want a lifting partner?” Marco asked.

“Sure.” Kolson changed into his t-shirt and shorts then met Marco in the weight room.

“How’s it going with the chick?” Marco asked as Kolson took his place on the bench.

“Good.” Kolson grabbed the metal bar.

“You know I heard something the other day.”

Kolson lifted the bar. “Yeah?”

Marco stayed standing above him.

“Heard she’s in high school.”

“Autumn?” Kolson laughed. “Why would they say that?”

Marco’s face was serious. “How well do you know her?”

“I’ve met her parents. They both work here.”

Marco’s grin was off, then shouted for someone and waved his hand. Kolson sat up. “What the?”

“Have you met Preston?” Marco asked.

Preston? That was Autumn’s brother. A tall guy with messy brown hair and hazel eyes like Autumn walked over.

“You’re Autumn Waite’s brother, right?” Marco smirked. Kolson didn’t get what he was trying to do.

“Yeah, so?” Preston furrowed his brow and looked from Marco to Kolson.

“Hey, nice to meet you.” Kolson held out his hand.

“Who are you?” Preston crossed his arms. Kolson didn’t know if he should be offended that Preston didn’t know about him. Autumn had been to his house and met his family.

“Kolson’s your sister’s man.” Marco tapped him on the shoulder.

Preston shrugged. “So?”

Wow, this guy was a tool. How were he and Autumn even related?

“Isn’t she some sort of genius?” Marco asked.

Preston shrugged. “Whatever.”

Kolson glared at Marco, what the heck was he doing?

“How old is she?” Marco asked.
