“We thought you’d decided to become sleeping beauty on us. But these gentlemen wouldn’t kiss you to wake you,” Diane laughed as she shot over and jumped onto my bed. “You did it! Still salty you bailed on us the way you did,” she pouted as Hadley and Dezikiel strode over.

“So our Lily closed the gates of Hell, met the damn devil himself, and had all of Heaven charge you up. Color me gobsmacked,” Hadley chuckled, her eyes lit up with delight.

I hugged Diane before sliding off the bed to hug Hadley as well.

“It’s so good to see you both.” I grinned at them. “And you too, Dezikiel.”

“I have you to thank for that. Michael granted our release. Seems you had your terms set, and the orders have been put out and obeyed. Everything will be changing now,” Dezikiel said as he looked at my two hellhounds.

“So, we hear you saw Thomas up there?” Diane said as her expression turned serious.

“Yeah, he was in his own Heaven. I honestly thought demonics couldn’t get there, but apparently demonics and angelics go to another place for judgment,” I said with a shrug, and she just blinked at me while she processed it.

“Well, guess we should be good then. Was he doing okay?” Hadley asked quietly.

“Yeah, he had his whole Heaven, and he seemed happy. He had his family there,” I explained.

“We told them everything. While you were sleeping, you would dream or relive things, and we could see some of it. Like how you saw your mom too,” Bug explained, and I frowned at him.

“You saw that?” That was bizarre.

“Not on purpose. We’d come take turns watching over you, and I think your mind was just open, so we could feel things from you and sometimes see what you were seeing. We could tell too if it was dreams or memories,” Jack said quickly, not that it bothered me.

“Yeah, they have some telepathy thing going on now, it’s weird,” Diane commented. “Talking to one another. I can hear it too, but they can’t hear me,” she said with a pout. “Can you hear me?”

I paused and focused on her, trying to hear her thoughts, but nothing came to me. I just shook my head.

“Bummer, must be some special bond between you guys then.” She sighed as she looked at Dezikiel.

“I imagine so. I’ve watched them shift, seen their new states. They are most certainly bound to you now,” Dezikiel noted.

“You guys can still shift into the winged state?” I remarked as I caught the thought from Jack’s head. That was certainly something that would take some getting used to.

“Yeah, we can, Creeper is actually out there now with Chum. They both love flying,” Jack chuckled, and I cracked a grin. I loved it too when I’d finally done it.

“Lucky bastards,” Diane said with an eye roll.

“You must be hungry after sleeping that much, I’ll make sure a grand lunch is sorted right away. Everyone is eager to see you again,” Dezikiel said with a warm smile.

I just looked around at all the happy faces, beyond grateful to finally be home and free of the horrid weight I’d been carrying.

I was safe.

I was home.
