“Females,” I whispered, tears running down my face.I love you mom. I’m sorry. “Find them.”

It felt like I was betraying everyone I cared about. They had to be worried about me while I had been busy having the best sex of my life and now I was choosing to find females I had no idea if even existed.

There was a possibility that it was a trap Kahma and his team had set up for me.

Kahma’s hand rested on my lower back. “Eventually we will look for Earth. I can promise you that.”

Feeling him being close to me was comforting. I wanted to feel his arms around my body in a bear hug, giving me all the comfort I was looking for. I couldn’t ask for that, he wasthe captain.

Slightly nodding I let him know I heard him.

“Are you sure?” Khaix voice sounded like it was miles away while he was practically next to me.

“Yes.”

“Selfless act,” he murmured. “You surprise me, female.”

“She will need a place to stay. We have empty quarters in the base where she could live until we manage to find her something more suitable.”

“No. She will stay with me,” Kahma tone left no room for arguments, laying a silent claim over me.

“No offense, Captain, it should be her decision to make,” Raze said. I had not expected him to be the one to take my choice into consideration. “She is on a planet she doesn’t know. The least we can do is give her space.”

Despite looking scary, he seemed to have a kind heart.

“Fine. Kel-sey, my place or the base?” It was supposed to be a question, however it came out of Kahma’s mouth more like a command.

My thoughts were miles away as I watched the three men looking at me, waiting to hear my decision. All I could think about was how I was going to be stuck on a planet that I didn’t know anything about.

While Kahma was caring, I still had considered him a threat who was ready to kill me and now my life was in his hands.

He seemed to hate me at times. Yet other times he was lovely, looking out for me, remembering details I hadn’t expected him to remember about me.

“Can I have a moment alone?”

I needed air and to be alone. Everything was a mess in my head, so much had happened in such a short amount of time.

Kahma

Every moment she stood outside alone was a painful reminder how I hadn’t tried to gain her trust, despite considering her mine.

First time in the universe I felt self conscious. I knew she enjoyed my company and I was able to make her climax with minimum effort, would these things be enough to keep her around, I wasn’t sure.

Kelsey barely knew anything about my life, she knew the basic stuff.

She didn’t know how I had spent many cycles locked up in a cage where a doctor had turned me into an unkillable monster. I had killed more people than I could count with just my bare hands.

Everyone in my team had been experimented on, which in the end turned all of us into the monsters we were. Except Raze. A man who every warrior considered to be the nicest, had the worst story. Scars on his body were a reminder of it, even our fast healing wasn’t able to remove scars.

“She will come around,” Dyorna, my second-in-common, stood next to me as I watched Kelsey move back and forth while talking with herself. “Zar said she is your mate.”

“She could be. I am not sure,” I replied honestly.

“Have you tried to finalize the bond?”

“No.”

“Will you?” he kept prying. “Does she even know she could be your mate?”
