“Time,” I manage to say.

“You will have time, as long as you will need,” he murmurs. “Anything else?”

“Nothing sexual.”

“I won’t touch you until you beg me if it makes you happy. Does it mean you will come to my place?” his voice was full of hope. Looking at his face, I nod.

It was either going to be my best decision or worst decision.

Standing behind Cyrus I watched the monitors in front of him. Out of every warrior in my team, he was the most gifted when it came to finding out information. Most information he managed to get wasn’t through legal ways.

No warrior cared much about legalities. I cared enough to make sure warriors were safe.

“I heard there’s a lead.”

“Yes, sir,” he nodded.

Cyrus often kept to himself, preferring the company of his technology over the company of us. Except when it came to fighting. No man was able to stop him from going into a war.

“Talk,” I simply said.

Never had I been a man of many words, Kelsey seemed the type of woman who loved to talk. Good thing I was able to talk if I considered it necessary.

Thinking about Kelsey moving to my place made me feel pleased. Hopefully she would be comfortable enough in the apartment to make it more hers. I knew she wasn’t a big fan of the dark theme I had going on but it helped me stay calm and think. I wouldn’t mind having different colors if it would make her happy.

“This area,” Cyrus said while circling an area on the map, “is most likely the area where the spaceship had issues, which means it crashed around here,” he moved the pointer on the map about three inches to the left, “I sent drones there many moments ago. No signs of a crash.”

“Cover up?” He nodded, confirming that the people who had abducted Kelsey were of our kind. “Anything else?

“I think I found the reason why they abducted these females,” Cyrus says, not lifting his eyes from the screen.

“You think?” I question.

“Yes,” he breathed out loud, “can’t be sure until we find the area.”

I look at the warrior as he is opening up new things on the monitors. His screens were full of different medical records.

“Medical records?”

“Experiment records,” he remarks. “When the spaceship had issues it sent out signals in many different ways. I am working on tracking all of them, it takes longer than I would like. Anyway, I managed to get this information from the signal.”

He clicked on one of the records to make it bigger on the monitor.

I read every line carefully, double checking I understood everything that was written on them. Even though it didn’t say anywhere that the record was about a female, I knew it was the moment it mentioned breeding possibility. The female was referred to as an experiment 0023, she had been beaten severely with different objects and later on injected with different drug mixtures to see if any of them would speed up the healing process.

The things that were done to the female were cruel even by my standard.

“Whoever these people are, they are working on a new medicine that should make anyone practically invincible.”

“To beat us,” I said as he opened up another medical record.

“Most likely,” he agreed, “I was disturbed by the breeding comment on the records,” Cyrus continued as he was typing something, “so I looked more into it. They don’t care for the female. They care for the offspring,” he opened up a medical record which seemed to be many cycles old, “there will be a chance for the offspring to be born with the traits they inject the females with.”

“How big of a chance?”

“Don’t know. Big enough for someone to start again,” he said.
