“I know, well, maybe not the balls part. But it feels good being with you like this, too.”

“I’ve never been the most patient man when it comes to something I want, baby. We’re going to have to have a discussion soon on how you want to tell your family.”

“I know,” she sighed. “I’ll come up with something.”

“Nah, Fred. When it’s time we’ll do it together, yeah?” I looked at her seriously.

“Together,” she repeated before snuggling in to me and drifting off to sleep.

Winnie

“Winnie,” Kane whispered.

I smiled, opening my eyes to see him lying next to me on the bed, his head propped on his bent arm. This was the second day in a row I had been awoken by him and not my usual five alarms. A girl could get used to a sexy man gently waking her after a night of multiple orgasms.

“Why are you dressed?” I asked grumpily. “New rule, no clothes when we’re in bed.” I rolled onto my back, stretching my arms high above my head. I was deliciously sore everywhere, there were aches in muscles I didn’t even know I used last night.

“I think that’s a very good rule,” he slid his palm across my belly, eyes taking in my bare breasts. He leaned forward to kiss me but I slapped my hand over my mouth before he could get close enough. Kane laughed. “What’re you doing, baby?”

“Morming breaf,” I mumbled around my hand.

He laughed harder, making my little bed shake. “I don’t give a fuck about your morning breath, baby. What I do care about is you kissing me before I have to leave for work.”

Okay, that was sweet. I lowered my hand and lifted my shoulders off the bed to give him a quick peck. Apparently, that wasn’t acceptable because he speared his fingers into my hair, kissing me deeply until he got his fill. “Good morning,” he said as he pulled away.

“Good morning,” I repeated, completely dazed.

“You know, Fred, for a girl who claims to like breakfast so much, you don’t have shit in your fridge to eat.”

“I normally eat breakfast at the diner, considering we have all the best breakfast foods right there.” I sat up, tucking my knees to my chest and resting my chin on them.

“Hate to say it but we’re probably going to have to spend our nights at my place since I have two things you don’t, food and furniture that actually fits me. Not to mention the cat will get a little lonely if I’m never there.”

“Mr. Fluffernuts! I completely forgot, is he okay?”

“I fed him before I had to track your ass down. He’ll be all right with me being away for one night.”

“Poor baby, I’ll give him lots of apology cuddles tonight.”

Kane’s eyes warmed and a lazy smile spread on his face, “Sounds good, baby. I have to get home and change, but keep your phone on you and no more unscheduled trips. Just pack a bag this morning and keep it in your truck,” he gave me a stern look.

“Yes, sir,” I saluted him.

“You’re lucky I like that smart mouth.” He kissed me once more before leaving the room.

I flopped back on the bed, reaching for my phone to check the time. I still had a little while before I had to get moving. Tapping my phone against my chin, I made a quick decision and dialed Jo’s number.

“Hey, Win-Win, to what do I owe this early morning phone call?” she answered.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t wake you up, did I?”

“Bitch, you know I live on a ranch, right? I’m up at the nut sack of dawn taking care of these moody ass animals. What the hell, Clarence? I told you to stop chewing on my shirt!”

“The goat again?” I laughed.

“Yes,” she growled, “you’d think I don’t feed him even though I just brought him a banana treat!” I heard a thud and Jo screaming at her pet goat in the background. “Sorry, dropped the phone and he tried to eat it,” she huffed. “So, what’s up? I know you aren’t calling to hear my goat drama.”
