“Hey, Amara. How are you feeling?” Luke asked, walking in the front door. I smiled up at him, not able to answer him with all of the food in my mouth. Sam walked in behind him, squealed and came to sit right next to me, wrapping her arms around my shoulders and squeezing me tightly.

“Have I ever told you how much I love you?” Sam asked, keeping me as close as she could. I breathed out a hoarse laugh, patting her arm with awkwardly. I didn’t get a lot of time to spend time with her before Dean walked in the door.

He stopped in the middle of the doorway, his eyes boring straight into mine. My breath caught and I felt mesmerized by the power he seemed to hold over me. I felt Sam’s arms slide from me and she moved out of the seat next to me. Dean’s wolf flashed in his eyes as he walked over to where I was still sitting. I cleared my throat, keeping his gaze, but pushing the plate of food away. Dean’s wolf flashed again and a grunt came from his chest. I raised an eyebrow, confused as to what his problem was.

“You need to eat,” He grunted, dropping into the chair next to me. I glanced at the plate of food that I had barely made a dent in. I scoffed, folding my arms over my chest and sitting back against the chair. I hated when someone told me what to do, especially when that someone is Dean. He narrowed his gaze at me, like he was challenging me to defy him. I raised an eyebrow back, daring him to try to make me do anything.

“Uh…should we leave the room so you two can have some alone time?” Jake asked. I looked up at him, noting how awkward and uncomfortable he seemed. I frowned, shaking my head.

“Stay. We don’t need any alone time. There’s nothing between us. Dean is just being an annoying asshole and trying to make me do everything he says. He gets pissed off when I don’t listen,” I responded, rolling my eyes. Luke and Sam exchanged amused looks, Jake looking confused. I chanced a look at Dean, noting the vein pulsing in his forehead with how pissed off he was. I bite the inside of my lip, trying to keep from smirking and looking smug.

“So…Amara, are you going to explain what happened over the last day?” Jake asked, obviously trying to change the subject. Dean shifted in his seat, leaning forward in his seat and skewering me with his intense gaze. I glanced his way, feeling a bit uncomfortable. I leaned forward and stabbed my fork into the scrambled eggs and shoved them into my mouth. I leaned back in the chair, raising an eyebrow and making a bit deal out of chewing my food.

“Oh, come on, Amara! You’re killing us here,” Jake exclaimed, throwing his hands up. I giggled, covering my mouth with my hand, my enjoyment of the situation spilling out. Dean tilted his head at me, giving me a funny look. My smile immediately slipped from my face and I ducked my head, focusing my gaze on my hands in my lap.

Dean reached out slowly, putting two of his fingers under my chin and pushing it up. I let him tilt my head up, but kept my gaze lowered. I didn’t want to meet his eyes - I wanted to keep avoiding the attraction I felt toward him, the attraction I knew he felt toward me. I didn’t know if I could handle dealing with the thing between us.

“Amara,” Dean’s gruff voice demanded. It was a voice of someone who was used to getting what he wanted and I’ve always enjoyed arguing with him when he tries his demanding alpha-hole voice with me. However, for some reason, all of my tendencies to argue with him and deny his commands completely fled.

I couldn’t keep myself from raising my eyes. I couldn’t stop myself from inhaling sharply, my breath catching as I met Dean’s hazel eyes. I couldn’t stop myself from leaning into his grip on my chin and flicking my eyes down toward his lips. I couldn’t stop myself from inhaling his scent deeply. I had no control left.

Dean’s thumb stroked the side of my jaw, his eyes staring at my lips and his upper body leaning forward. My heartbeat stuttered, then increased. The intensity of this moment threatened to knock me off my axis, but I didn’t want it to end. I leaned in more, a whimper rising in my throat as I lifted slightly off my chair and crowding Dean’s personal space.

Dean slid his hand up my jaw and into my hair, gripping the back of my head and pulling me even closer. His breath sped up and he licked his lips slightly. He inhaled deeply, his eyes fluttering closed. I slipped a hand onto his knee, the warmth of his body causing shivers to roll down my shoulders. Dean leaned in and brushed his lips against mine.

Fireworks exploded as I crushed my lips against Dean’s with more force, groaning into it. Arousal flooded my core and I stood up from my chair completely, sliding onto Dean’s lap and wrapping my legs around his body. He wrapped an arm around my lower back and tugged me closer to him, moving his other hand to my ass and grabbing it roughly.

He moaned with a handful of my ass, taking control over the kiss and dominating me with his tongue. He explored my mouth, his tongue circling my own. We both groaned. Dean pulled me even closer, my breasts pushing into his chest. I tilted my pelvis and rubbed into the hardness currently stretching his pants. We both moaned as the sensations began to build.

Hands near our heads started to clap. I pulled away from Dean’s mouth, blinking as I tried to figure out who was interrupting us. Sam stood there, glaring at the two of us with her hands on her hips. I glanced over my shoulder at Luke, who was clearing his throat and adjusting his shirt, then to Jake, who was rubbing the back of his neck, looking completely uncomfortable.

I looked back at Sam. “Um, hello! You two can go back to getting it on later. Right now, we need to figure out what Jack is up to and what the hell happened between us, Amara. I’d rather be out of the room the next time you give Dean a lap dance. Can you climb off his lap now?”

I glanced down and then up at Dean’s face, registering the wide smirk he had on his face. My mouth dropped open and I scrambled to get off his lap as fast as possible. His hands trailed off my body as I climbed off, leaving a tingling sensation. I stood there, staring down at him with wide eyes and my hand covering my mouth.

“Well, that was fun,” Dean smirked.

Dean

My lips were still tingling from that kiss. Amara’s face was bright red and her eyes filled with panic as she watched me adjust myself in the seat. I smirked again, trying to keep from outright laughing at her embarrassment. She was adorable when she was being shy.

Luke cleared his throat again. When I met his eyes, he raised an eyebrow and jerked his head toward Amara. I scowled, hating that he was ruining my fun. My wolf wasn’t happy with how this whole thing was playing out so he agreed with Luke. I sighed, clearly not going to get my way. I stood up and adjusted myself again.

My cock was still so thick after feeling the heat from Amara’s pussy rub against it. Even though we were both fully clothed, I could feel every inch of her, smell her arousal, and feel the heat eminating from her. My cock throbbed with the path my thoughts had taken. My wolf whined with need, wanting to get his mate beneath him and mark her.

“What did I do?” Amara whispered in horror. I reached out to her, wanting to soothe her emotions and make sure she was okay. She cringed away from my touch, looking appalled. I lowered my hand, feeling hurt that she had reacted in that way. I knew she was struggling to come to terms with us being mates, but I never expected her to react in this way. Sam glanced between us before throwing her hands up and stomping away.

“These two are so infuriating! What do we do now?” Sam snapped. I turned to her, letting Amara take time to recoup herself. I knew she was internally freaking out.

“What do you mean what do you do? You do nothing. Amara is going to tell you exactly what happened and then we’re going to make a plan on how to defeat Jack. Then you’ll know what to do,” I answered her. She stuck her tongue out at me and I bared my teeth at her. Luke stepped in front of Sam, his eyes glowing and his teeth baring. I backed down - not because I was afraid of him, but because I had no interest in fighting for Sam.

“Alright, you two. Sit down and shut up,” Sam commanded, rolling her eyes and pushing Luke away from her. He shuffled sideways slightly, obviously moving for Sam’s sake, but not completely abandoning protecting her. I snickered, enjoying the interaction between the two of them. That was, until Amara came over and jabbed me in the chest with a pointy finger.

“You need to stop it. You’re being an asshole and you have no reason to be. Luke is acting the same way you’ve been acting. Now, sit down and shut up before I march the hell out of here and leave you with them,” She snapped, poking me in the chest every couple of words. It wasn’t exactly painful, but it was uncomfortable. What made me listen to her without arguing was her threat of taking off. I didn’t know how my wolf would handle her leaving his sight and I wasn’t about to find out. He was wound up tighter than ever - anything regarding Amara could set him off.

Amara nodded in satisfaction, frowning down at me. I winked up at her, giving her my best smile - which meant showing all of my teeth. Amara’s eyes darkened and the scent of her arousal teased my nose again. I inhaled deeply, leaning toward her and running my hands up the backs of her legs. She shivered in my arms, goosebumps rippling down her skin. Her breath turned shaky and I listened as her heartbeat stuttered then increased again.
