“We all did. We started with karate then jiu jitsu, and when we were thirteen, we started Krav Maga,” Vince replied.

“All of you?” I looked around to see each of them nod.

“Yeah, they teach different techniques, but Krav Maga was the only one that taught us to fight with weapons,” Gavin explained.

“And how to turn anything into a weapon,” Sky said while wagging his brows.

“I had no idea.” I was seriously impressed. “You guys still practice?”

“Yeah,” Sky said first.

“Why haven’t I ever seen that?” I asked.

Vince chuckled, “We didn’t think you would want to watch us fight.”

“If there’s something I can learn, then of course I do.” The idea of seeing them hurt each other made me cringe, but I doubted it was that kind of fighting.

“I’ll see if we can reserve the gym sometime this week,” Luca offered.

“Cool.” Vince nodded and finished the rest of his sandwich in one bite.

“We’ll make the other training work around whatever day you can get,” Gavin added, “and we have to stay caught up on homework.”

He shot me a look, and I gave him a sweet smile in return. I may or may not have been complaining about that lately. There was enough going on with the Society to keep me busy and exhausted. How they managed to maintain their grades and training was beyond me.

“Fine,” I frowned. I didn’t necessarily love training, but I’d rather sit in a dark room trying to envision my mental barrier than stare at my math notes in a vain hope that they’d suddenly make sense.

He smiled and put his arm around my shoulders as we walked to class.
