There had to be something I could do. I just wasn't sure what.

I picked up the phone, dialling Quinn. It was early, but she was usually up to work out and get ready for the day.

"Levi?" she answered, and I could almost see her smiling through the phone. "You're up early."

"Couldn't sleep," I said with a small laugh. It was such a relief to hear her voice. It never ceased to soothe me.

Quinn chuckled. "Get a coffee into you. What are you up to?"

"I wanted to see if we could meet up today."

The knot in my stomach tightened as I waited for her to respond.

"Yeah, sure. I've just got to meet Blair first but I'll call you after so I can come find you."

I let out a sigh of relief. "Okay, that sounds good. I love you."

"I love you too, Levi," she laughed, her chirpy energy relaxing me.

The phone clicked as she hung up and I slouched back. Only a few more hours… I could manage that.

In the meantime, I would plan the escape. I just needed to pull it all together and fast.

I was pretty impressed with myself. In the short time since chatting with Quinn, I had managed to plan everything. I knew where we were going and had spoken to some contacts to get us there unseen. I just hoped she didn't hate me when I told her the truth.

I was just sipping on a cup of coffee when my phone started ringing.

Perfect timing.

I picked it up without looking at the screen, feeling the lightest I had felt in months.

"About time. I was getting worried."

"Levi!" I paused as Benny's panicked voice shouted down the phone at me.

"Benny?" I asked, checking the caller ID before putting the phone back to my ear.

He sounded like he had been running, breathing heavy as he huffed down the phone. "Levi. The Hunters have the girls. Both of them."

My cup dropped from my hand, shattering all over the floor around me.

"What?" I breathed, frozen.

Maybe I didn't hear him right… maybe I'm hallucinating.

Benny rarely got flustered… he was always so chilled. So, I knew… I knew straight away that this was bad.

"Your friends are here at the factory. Harmon is here too. I don't know what's going down but it's not good, bro."

"Fuck!" I yelled, stepping over the shards as I grabbed my keys. "I'm on my way. Benny, don't let them hurt them. Please!"

I hung up, shoving the phone in my pocket as I slipped on my shoes and sprinted to the car.

They have Quinn.

They fucking have my girl.

Horns blared around me as I sped through the town, swerving in and out of cars. I narrowly missed several vehicles as I drove on the wrong side of the road. I didn't care… all I cared about was getting there and getting Quinn out. And Blair.
