I pinned him to the ground, my fists hitting every inch I could find. But it wasn't enough, he wasn't the Grim Reaper for nothing.

"You're a disgrace," he spat out, punching me in the throat.

I coughed, stumbling off him as he tackled me into the ground. We kept fighting, our strength equal as we threw punch after punch.

Someone appeared out of the corner of my eye, and I turned, finding Blair looking at us horrified. A fist landed on my jaw, forcing my attention back.

"Fuck you!" I yelled, swinging at Lucas' face. "I hope you rot in hell."

We rolled on shards of broken glass, my skin being cut up and bleeding. I spotted a piece on the ground and reached for it, striking it towards Lucas' face. The glass sliced his cheek, making him growl as he lunged at me again.

"I'm going to send you to your little girlfriend," he taunted, his eyes wild as he smirked at me.

We stood up at the same time, Lucas spotting a gun down the corridor. He took off after it as I gave chase, tackling him.

I knocked the gun out of his hand, the movement giving him the opportunity to flip me onto my back. He straddled me, glaring down at me as he reached towards the gun.

The sound of vehicles pulling up outside the front door caught my attention, doors slamming as footsteps ran towards the house. Lucas' head turned towards the front door, momentarily distracting him. My hand reached for the gun, my fingers caressing the metal as I tried desperately to get a grip.

My heart pounded as I clenched it tight, taking aim at Lucas. He quickly looked back at me as footsteps sounded in the foyer, his eyes wide as he caught sight of the gun. His hand swiped for it but he was too late.

This time I was going to win.

Bang.

I pulled the trigger, the bullet entering his chest and going straight out his back. I could see the shock in his eyes, realization dawning as he looked down at the gaping wound in his chest. Blood was pouring down him, pooling on my stomach.

"Go to hell," I sneered, shoving him off me.

Lucas' body landed with a heavy bang, his chest heaving as he choked out a few more short breaths, before falling silent.

Emotion flooded through me as I stared at his lifeless body.

It was over… it was finally over.

"Fuck! Someone call an ambulance!" came a panicked scream from upstairs.

There could only have been one person upstairs…

"Blair!" I yelled, leaping up and running up the stairs. I followed the voices, the yells of the Spades. Rounding a corner, I ran into a bedroom, stumbling as I took in the scene in front of me.

Blair was lying on the ground, a knife sticking out of her chest as she stared blankly at the ceiling.

I fell to my knees, clutching my mouth as I watched the Spades yell, shaking her body, begging her to fight. To stay alive.

No no no…

This couldn't be happening again.

The sound of sirens screaming up the driveway gave me a second of hope but the panicked cries of the trio shattered me.

It was too late.

Paramedics rushed in, everything becoming a blur as I watched them work on her. I thought that seeing Quinn's lifeless body would be the only thing to haunt the rest of my days. But I was wrong.

Blair's lifeless body on a stretcher, rushing past me would forever be burned into my mind too.

I snapped into action, following the Spades Trio down the stairs as we raced to the hospital.
