“Do you know who the woman is?”
“I sure do, and she is not just a hookup.”
My eyes went wide. I couldn’t help but be intrigued. “What do you know?”
“She’s a Rockette.”
“A dancer?”
“Mhmm, but don’t tell the boys. They don’t know who she really is, and Owen, Mr. Non-Committal, will probably never make an honest woman out of her.” She made a sad face.
“Your boys are quite difficult to nail down. I mean, Eli was probably the easiest to snag out of all the cousins.”
“No, sweet girl. He wasn’t easy to snag. He’d just found his soul mate at a young age. You two were destined to be together.”
We entered the living room, and my gaze connected with Eli’s.
“You’re so right.” I made my way to my husband and son and kissed them both. “I love you with all my heart, Mr. Morgan. Thank you for giving me the greatest gift of all.”
“I’m the greatest gift?”
“You’re ornery when you’re happy.”
“How can I make it up to you?”
I leaned into him so no one would hear and whispered, “In four weeks, you can have all of me.”
“Do you mean, all of you, all of you? As in all your holes?”
“That’s exactly what I mean.”
“Well, now. That sounds like more of a treat for me.”
“Oh no, Mr. Morgan. It’ll be a treat for both of us.”
“I look forward to it, Mrs. Morgan.”
“Just four weeks.”
“Four weeks.”
