“I thoughtnothingwould distract you.”
I lean slightly towards him, smiling.
“And I didn’t even have to get into my underwear.”
This time, I can see it perfectly, the gleam in his eyes, the thing that shines and reminds me that what we shared Friday night in the club is not a figment of my imagination. It was real. Him and me, in that backyard, whatever he tries to do.
“No, I just had to remind you ofthat moment.”
My voice is a whisper and I lean in even more, resting my hands on the headrest behind him. I’m almost straddling his lap and I see him squinting at my chest before continuing his journey to my mouth and then my eyes.
He remembersvery well.
“Are you playing with me?” He asks.
“Maybe.”
He sighs, pushes me slightly and gets up from the couch quickly. I surprise him by loosening his jeans, between his thighs, and I imagine very well the hard bump in his underwear. I swallow with difficulty.
“You should stop this, Scar.”
“What?”
“Talking about things we shouldn’t.”
He stands in the middle of the room and faces me, his face stern. I approach him and he doesn’t move, not even when our bodies brush against each other. My face is lifted in his direction, forcing his face down slightly. Like the other night. All I had to do was stand on my tiptoes so for my lips to touch his. But I do nothing.
“You didn’t like it?”
He doesn’t answer, keeping his eyes on mine. Yet his jaw ticks and I know that this conversation makes him feverish.
Great, that’s exactly what I want.
“You know you owe me a dare,” I say.
He sighs and runs a hand through his hair. “You’re not going to make it easy for me, are you?”
I shake my head, shrugging my shoulders.
“Very well. What do you want?”
“You know what I want.”
He frowns, biting his lip.
“Kiss me.”
“Scar.”
I grab the edges of his T-shirt and pull him closer to me.
“Kiss. Me.”
He pushes me away slightly.
“No.”
“A dare is a dare. You know that very well.”
