“It probably would be, but I don’t know anything about this area. I don’t know the locations, caterers, flower shops. I’d have to do some serious research.”

She studied me for a moment. “Do you have any other weddings that you are planning right now?”

I shook my head sadly, and she grinned. “Then I think you have time to do research, but before you start going all crazy into other events and parties, let’s talk about my wedding.”

“Good idea, but I should probably have my laptop so I can take notes and look things up.” I started to get up.

“No, sit. I’ll get it for you.” She headed back up the stairs and came down with my laptop bag. I’m glad she knew where it was because I’d had no idea.

We started off by going through the necessary information of where and when. Charlotte paged through her binder, and while it was somewhat organized, it was kind of all over the place. My OCD was already starting to kick in as I organized everything in my mind and began taking notes.

We discussed colors and plans for the bridal party, along with how the service would go and where the reception was. I jotted down the link to the reception hall so I could check out pictures of it once I had internet service. We were deep in her reception plans when Wes came in and asked us if we wanted coffee. After a quick yes from both of us, he disappeared back into the kitchen.

A few minutes later, he returned with our mugs and one of his own and took a seat in one of the lounge chairs across from the couch. “Wes, Roxy is a gem! She has so many ideas, and I can already see things shaping up.”

“I’m glad to hear that,” he said with a smile. “Roxy, how do you feel about it?”

I gave him a wide grin that made my nose ache, but it was worth it. “This is what it is all about. I love planning these kinds of things, and Charlotte has made it super easy. She already has half of it done; now it’s just putting all the pieces together and making sure it all goes as planned.”

“Good. That makes it easy,” he replied. “Do you guys need anything from me?”

“Nope!” Charlotte was quick to respond.

“I think Charlotte has given me all I need for right now, but I’m sure I’ll need to speak to you about a few things once I get my head wrapped around all of this. I need to get online and do some research and find a few things that she mentioned.”

“I can give you the password for the Wi-Fi here.”

“Perfect!” He quickly gave it to me, and I had a browser open a moment later. Charlotte moved closer to me, and we brought up the country club where the reception was booked.

“Looks like you two have things under control. I’m going back to the kitchen since my services are not needed here.”

“Okay,” Charlotte responded absently, and then Wes disappeared as she began to explain the details of the reception from the pictures we could see of the gala room.

I asked questions, and she tried to explain the setup, but then snapped her fingers. “How about we go visit? Then I can show you what I’m talking about?”

“What, now?”

“Yeah, why not? The party isn’t for a couple hours. I know better than to get in the way in the kitchen, and everything else is pretty much done.”

“Well, okay.”

“Great, let me go get the keys from Wes and tell them what we are going to do.”

“Perfect!”

A moment later, Lee came out of the kitchen, wiping his hands on a towel tucked into the tie on his apron. I let my gaze drift over him. Damn, he looked good in an apron. Too bad he had clothes on under it.

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

I grinned. “Oh, I was just enjoying the view.”

He took a seat next to me. “Enjoying the view, huh?”

“Yes, very much so.”

He leaned forward and kissed me slowly. “I’m glad. I like seeing you sitting here on the couch, too.”

“You do?”
