“Um,” I start, searching my brain for something to say.

Yeah, I’ve got nothing.

Luckily for me, Monty and Griz get back with our drinks, and I grab mine, sucking down half of it so that I don’t have to open my mouth. Who knows what might come out next.

The next fifteen minutes are spent chatting, though I’m hardly able to concentrate on the conversation. I think I’ve said five words since Monty and Griz sat down. I’m painfully aware of Remington’s heavy breaths and each time he shifts in his seat. It’s getting ridiculous.

“It’s getting late, and I need to run errands tomorrow morning. I think we’re going to head home,” Monty says, but I can see the way that she’s looking at Griz.

“They’re going to go have sex,” I whisper to Remy. He makes a point not to look at me, the grunting noise from the back of his throat the only acknowledgment that he heard me at all.

“See you guys!” Oakley says. I wave as they head for the door.

“I think that we’re going to head out, too,” Kai announces. I nudge Remy again.

“Them, too,” I whisper to him. He clears his throat, then wipes a hand over his mouth, though he gives nothing away.

“See you guys,” I say to Oakley and Kai as they scoot out of the booth.

They wave, and I watch until they disappear into the crowd.

“Wyatt and Kennedy are around here somewhere,” I tell Remy, and he nods. “They’re having sex, too,” I inform him.

“Oh my god,” he mumbles, his head tipping down.

He rests his elbow on the table, and drags his hand through his hair before he covers his eyes like he’s in pain.

“Are you alright?” I ask.

I realize that I’m slurring my words. Looking down at my drink, I frown when I see there are only half melted ice cubes left. When did that happen?

“Peachy,” he grumbles, making me snort.

He looks over at me, and I smile as I wrap my lips around my straw and suck. Remy’s eyes heat, turning nearly black as he hones in on the motion. I squirm in my seat, sucking harder. I want him to always look at me like that.

Draining the last of my drink, I set it aside. Wyatt and Kennedy still aren’t back, and I sigh.

“Ready to head home?” Remy asks me, his voice coming out raspy.

“Yeah, I guess.”Unless you want to take me out back and help me get rid of my v-card.I don’t say that, of course.

“Come on. I’ll give you a ride.”

I nod, scooting over to the edge of the booth. When I try to stand, my legs wobble slightly. I reach out, grabbing onto Remy’s arm. He pulls me against his chest, steadying me.

“Those drinks are strong,” I tell him, grinning when he glares at the empty glass. He looks like he wants to punch it, which makes me giggle.

I take a step away from Remy, though my body is protesting. Just then, someone elbows me in the back, and I gasp as I fall right back into Remy’s chest. I don’t mind. I take my time finding my bearings.

Okay, I might also be feeling him up and breathing in his clean scent.

“Are you sniffing me?” he rasps in my ear. I nod, peering up at him from beneath my lashes.

“You smell so good. Like grass and, I don’t know, air?”

“Air doesn’t smell like anything,” he reminds me. I shrug, breathing in deeply again.

“Cedar?” I try again. He just sighs and shakes his head.
