“I’m not going anywhere,” I blurt out. “If you want rid of me, you’ll need a crowbar to pry me out of your house and away from you.”

Silas’s gaze roams my body, focusing the longest on how my low-cut top shows off my cleavage. “I like that shirt.”

With that, he walks past me and enjoys a morning pee. Acting like we’re an old married couple, he doesn’t close the door. I never consider peeking to see what he’s packing. I’ve gotten the gist from his erections. The rest can be a wonderful surprise.

SILAS

All morning, I’ve beendying to talk to Landry like we did last night. Though breakfast is calm, she remains focused on dueling Beckett and Brooklyn. During the morning, she goes through a few boxes and organizes the toys and clothes.

Finally, naptime arrives, offering me long-awaited alone time with Landry. I plan to sit with her on the couch and talk about better topics than her perverted dad. We’ve just started making chitchat when Blair appears.

She’s been in a weird mood all morning. Her siblings also seemed overly clingy. I watched the three youngest crowd around the bathroom door while Landry took a piss. Rosemary attempted to distract them, but they only started crying.

Finally, Landry opened the door and allowed the herd to join her.

“I’m not tired,” Blair tells her mama and looks around nervously. “They’re asleep.”

“Even Beau?”

“He played a lot today.”

Landry smiles at the thought before hugging Blair. “You can sit with us.”

Despite knowing I’m acting like an immature ass, I get my back up over sharing Landry. Fuck it! I’m dying to wrap the woman in my affections.

However, I knew she was a package deal. I need to share her with five other people. That’s just how it works. My acceptance doesn’t mean I’m happy about it, though.

“I’m going for a walk,” I say and stand up.

Blair fucks with my plan to sulk by asking, “Can I go?”

Landry’s cagey expression instantly pisses me off, even as I admire her protective mama vibes.

“Where do you walk?” she asks, clearly wary about me taking her girl somewhere alone.

“Woodrow and I created a path through the woods and around the property. Actually, there are more than one. Some go for miles, but I’m walking the one that circles the house today.”
