This isn’t home to me anymore.

I’m not sureDSCis home either.

Which makes this all that much harder and weirder.

My life is more turned upside down than ever before.

The only difference is that atDSCthere are things to do. I feel like I have some power. Only until Archer comes around and steals it from me. But then there’s Cullen, who always finds a way to lift me up.

At a stop sign, I shut my eyes.

My memory throws me right back to the night at the lake.

Archer going down on me.

That deadly and horrible tongue of his making so many good things happen at once for me.

I tear my eyes open.

The next stop sign, I shut them again.

Now my memory offers me Cullen.

My hips working like magic, dry humping him until I finish.

Then my hand touching him…

I open my eyes again and the next stop sign I don’t even bother stopping.

I blow right through it.

I’m two blocks from my old house.

From Fay’s house.

When I park out front of the long stretch of row homes, I swallow hard.

That whole feeling of past and present colliding makes my stomach feel weird.

What’s even weirder is that I see Marty on the porch steps to Fay’s house.

Sideways, legs outstretched, his head down.

He’s either asleep or dead.

I shake my head as a million memories come rushing back.

When I hit the lock button, Birdie’s SUV makes a beeping sound.

Marty jumps and looks right at me.

He squints his eyes.

Then he rubs his eyes.

“Jaci?” he asks.

“Are you high?” I ask.
