“Archer took out one of my best guys,” Seth says. “There has to be payback.”
“Kidnapping me and then taking me back? That’s not it. Now this thing with Faye… right now… here…”
“You’re the one trying to piece things together that aren’t there,” Seth says. “Here I thought we could come in here and talk. Maybe kiss a little. Maybe bend you over the table and make Cullen and Archer listen to you groan as I fuck you.”
“That won’t ever happen again,” I say.
I walk away from Seth and he jumps for me.
He grabs me and pulls me close.
“I protected you,” he growls. “I protected you when nobody else could. I know everything, Jaci. Every secret and desire you have and want to have, I know. You want to fall for that mafia shit? Go for it. I’m the real one.”
“If you’re so real, give me something,” I say.
“Your uncle killed Archer’s uncle,” Seth says. “Big issues there. Came down to street level and got messy.”
I start to shake.
He knows…
“That’s why Archer wants to kill you,” Seth says. “But he can’t because he’s in love with you. You’ve moved so strategic without knowing it, Jaci.”
“What else, Seth? Do you know who my parents are?”
He nods.
“Seth…”
He leans down and brushes his lips to mine.
“Meow,”he whispers.
“Really?” I ask. “Do you think I don’t hate you?”
“If I tell you everything…”
“You won’t,” I say. “Nobody will.”
Seth smirks. “Maybe that’s the point, Jaci.Maybe you’re supposed to just find it all out by yourself.”

As soon as I step back into the living room area, all hell breaks loose.
Archer looks at me and there’s just something there between us.
I really don’t know if he will actually kill me or not.
Does it really matter anymore?
My uncle killed his uncle.
He wants revenge?

He knows if I’m dead then there’s no more attention. No love. There’s nothing.
