“She’s got a mouth and attitude,” Seth says. “That’s why I had to dump her ass.”
“I dumped you,” I call out. “You were cheating on me.”
“You two were together?” Archer asks.
“You don’t know who I am?” Seth asks.
“Don’t!” I cry out.
Too late.
“I took Jaci’s virginity,” Seth says proudly.
“Big deal,” I say. “That’s not even an important thing. What does it even mean? Right?”
“I think the cooler thing here is that all three of us have fucked Jaci,” Seth says, looking at Cullen, then Archer.
Seth is way too confident and bold.
“I’m pulling the trigger,” Cullen says to Archer. “If you want to stab him, do it now.”
My heart rate doubls its pace.
I feel dizzy but I can’t look away.
Seth really is a bad person.
But so are Cullen and Archer, right?
They’re mafia.
They hurt people. They steal.
They do bad things.
Just like Seth does.
“Before you stab me,” Seth says.
He smiles and leans toward Archer.
Something is said.
Archer looks at Cullen.
Seth says something to Cullen.
Cullen suddenly lowers the gun and nods toward the house.
“Don’t try anything fucking fancy,” Cullen says.
Now he has the gun to Seth’s back.
Pushing him toward the open front door.
I shake my head. “What’s happening here?”
“I guess we’re talking,” Seth says. “Are you going to miss me, Jaci?”
