Laz winks and turns.

That’s when I see he’s naked under his apron.

His big, muscular ass is just there for everyone to look at.

I shake my head, not even wanting to know why he’s like that.

Maybe he lost a bet.

Maybe he likes it.

Whatever.

I hurry to the front porch and find Cullen standing with a cup of coffee.

Archer sitting on the top step of the porch, holding his knife in his hand.

“Morning, sweet thing,” he says.

“Jaci,” Cullen says.

He smiles.

He closes in on me and kisses my left cheek.

“You have to leave, right?”

I nod. “I have to go see Maz and Birdie.”

“You shouldn’t be alone,” Archer says.

He stands up.

“I’ll be fine,” I say. “I’m walking to the dorm.”

“I don’t like the circumstances,” Cullen says.

“Don’t worry about Seth,” I say. “If he’s even still here.”

“He’s here,” Archer says.

“How do you know that?” I ask.

“Let me walk you back to the dorm, Jaci,” Archer says.

I glance at Cullen.

He gives a very slow and reluctant nod.

He kisses my cheek again.

At the top of the steps, next to Archer, I kind of picture him grabbing my hand and holding it. Showing a little bit of a romantic side.

But that’s not Archer.

Cullen would do that in a second though.

I look back at Cullen and see his beautiful jaw flexing tight.
