“I figured,” he says. “Goodnight, Jaci.”

“Goodbye, Seth.”

A second later, he kisses me.

His lips against mine. His tongue thrusting forward, wanting more.

I open my mouth and greet his tongue with mine.

Now we’re fully making out.

I hurry and back away.

Seth smiles at me. “So delicious.”

“Just fucking leave,” I say.

To make my point, I wipe my lips.

As though that really matters.

Seth laughs, gets into his car and actually does drive off.

I touch my lips again.

I wish I hadn’t wiped that kiss away.

Chapter 24

The next morning I open my eyes and feel fine.

I’m far from hungover.

Like Birdie and Maz are.

They’re like zombies once they finally stumble through the dorm.

“I feel sick,” Birdie says.

“You look sick,” I say. “You need to sit down.”

Maz sways back and forth. “Coffee. I need coffee. A lot of coffee. Strong coffee. Good coffee.”

“Is this you telling me you need to me to walk alone to the coffeeshop?” I ask.

“Yes,” they both groan at the same time.

“Damn,” I say. “You drunks went crazy last night.”

“So sorry we drown our erotic sorrows in vodka,” Birdie says. “We all can’t be you, Jaci. Three guys gushing over you.”

“She’s just jealous,” Maz says.

“I totally am jealous,” Birdie groans.

“I’m leaving,” I say. “You two go back to sleep. No throwing up either. Or if you do, make it to the bathroom. I will get the coffees but I am not cleaning up puke.”

“Jaci Ruby,” Maz says. “Commanding. Such a mafia boss bitch.”
