“Oh, I like that,” Birdie says. “I can’t wait for her to takeover.”
“What exactly am I taking over?” I ask.
“You do know what anHeirmeans,” Maz says.
“I’m not talking about this stuff right now,” I say. “Unless you’re going to tell me more about my family.”
“We don’t know any more than you do,” Birdie says. “Now get us caffeine.”
I leave the dorms and go outside.
My teeth chatter yet I smile.
It’s a comfortable kind of chill in the air.
I huddle up and walk across campus to get the good coffee for my hungover roommates.
About last night though…
After that kiss with Seth, the night felt detoured totally.
Cullen and Archer went back to hating each other.
They avoided each other.
Maz and Birdie got drunk.Obviously.
I just kind of hung around.
A party thrown for me.
Rising from the grave.
Escaping the clutches of a kidnapper.
Proving myself to everyone.

So the rest of the night casually became an almost boring blur.
A few guys fought.
A couple girls threw drinks at each other.
Maz threatened to kill someone.
Birdie tried to dance on a counter and I stopped her.
And, yeah, before the night ended I kissed both Cullen and Archer.
Not at the same time.
But they each got a kiss just like Seth did.
Leaving my body aching and wanting more from each of them.
I made sure Maz and Birdie got back to the dorms and crashed.
