"Well, you're always welcome back anytime." I grinned, then looked to Roxanne. "And thank you, most of all. I never would've gotten this far without you."

It was true. Roxanne was the one who told me more about the Wolf Moon's gift when I barely had any information. She was the one who led me to the Moon Dial, and if not for that, I never would've met Rowan or seen Sabina and Abuelita again.

"You would've gotten there on your own, but I'm happy to be of service. Plus, I made some good money from this adventure, so there's that," Roxanne said, smoking a cigarette as always.

My smile dropped as I reminded her of something important. "You know Mordred is still out there, right?"

"I know." Roxanne frowned.

Mordred never shown up during the fight last night, and long after it ended, we tried looking for him. He was nowhere to be found. When we tried asking Kai or the new recruits about where Mordred could be hiding, they all said the same thing. They only met with Pierce. Mordred would never show himself around them. Pierce, of course, was no help either. He made himself at home in his cellar, not even bothering to try and fight. What was the point now that he wasn't a shifter? But he explained that Mordred always came to see him, and when he left Kingsrose, it was to a location that Mordred picked out. But it wasn't a home base or anything. Mordred knew how to cover his tracks, but he was still out there, and still as dangerous as ever.

"He won't come back for the Wolf Moon's gift," I said. "Not now, anyways, since he knows I can overpower the New Moon's Curse. But that doesn't change that he wants your Pink Moon's gift especially. He may try to come after you."

"He can try." Roxanne tsked. "Let him come. It'll be nice to see who's the stronger spellcaster."

"Roxie, this is serious," Morgan exclaimed. "He's more powerful than any warlock we know."

"I'm aware. If he shows his face, I'll be ready for him. And if I need help, I'll know who to call." Roxanne pulled me into her arms and patted my back. "You take care of yourself, moon sister."

I beamed at the nickname she gave me and Del last night. "You too, moon sister."

Before she could walk off, Kai stepped in offering her a hug as well. "Bye, Roxanne."

"Bye, baby boy." Roxanne happily embraced him. "Congrats on your new dual personality, and good job on taking back control. You're a good man, Kai, don't think otherwise."

Kai's smile was neutral, but he graciously accepted the compliment. Kai still blamed himself for losing control and letting Mordred brainwash him. Though we all told him it wasn't his fault, and that we forgave him, we knew it wasn't what Kai needed. It was time, and we would give it to him. For now, being a Berserker Lycan had its own perks. Kai was now the lead defense team in protecting Kingsrose from any future invaders. Even when our time as Wolf Moon's Chosen were up and so were our powers, Kai would always have his Berserker Wolf, but in that time, his bond with his wolf would've grown enough to not need it for control.

Once again, we waved off our final guest as they vacated Kingsrose and went off back to their lives. The rest of our shifter guests left earlier, taking the bodies of their lost comrades with them. All hope wasn't lost since some of them did get to bring their lost pack mates back alive, but it was never fun to lose an ally in battle. We all sang to Mother Moon, praying the souls of her children reached her.

Even with all our guests gone, it wouldn't be empty thanks to all the new recruits. Even though they joined us, it was a unanimous decision that we shouldn't trust them right away. We'd keep a close eye on them for a while, and if they slipped up, we'd take action right away. In the meantime, they got a place to stay and food in their bellies, so all was right as rain. I looked back at the porch to find Sabina waiting at the front steps with a backpack slung over one shoulder. We knew this was coming, Sabina having to go off to find the next Moon Chosen to aid. It was still sad to see her go.

"You're heading out already?" I asked her.

Sabina sighed."Yeah, it's time. I'll be checking out the Moon Dial first to see where my next destination is at, then I'll be on my own."

"Look at it this way. You'll get to travel around the world, meet new and exciting people, and go on adventures that we could only dream of."

"I know, it's just a lot to get used to, you know? I'm still getting used to being a demigod."

I understood what she was going through. I didn't have a lot of time to adjust being the Wolf Moon's Chosen when it sprung up on me. Then having to find four mates to help me and becoming an alpha. Everything moved so fast. I could only hope now things could slow down for us. "Promise you'll call to let us know where you'll be going?"

Sabina nodded before hugging me. "Of course." She then embraced my mates, saying her goodbyes and willing them all the best of luck. When it was Joaquin's turn, their embrace lasted the longest. Two childhood friends parting ways.

"I'm proud of you, Joaquin. You're finally where you're supposed to be," Sabina said softly before pressing a quick kiss to his cheek. No, I wasn't jealous. I knew they were only friends, and besides, Joaquin was the one who pounded into me with his thick ass cock last night, whispering sweet nothings to me before filling me up with his cum. He was all mine. Sabina turned to Rowan, exchanging glances before tilting their heads, and Sabina took off in her car.

And then there was one. I think saying goodbye to Rowan was the hardest out of all of them. Especially since I knew saying goodbye meant he'd return to that too small of a cabin all by himself. I knew I had my mates, but damn it, why couldn't I have one more? Why couldn't I have Rowan at my side? I never expected to fall in love with him, but I did. I loved him as much as I loved the four men who were mine. We were a family, him included. He belonged with us. I couldn't let him walk away like this. To hell with it, we'd work something out. I wasn't going to let him be alone again.

"Rowan." I took a breath and prepared for a hell of an argument. "We need to—"

"I'm staying," Rowan blurted out.

I paused for a moment to let my brain catch up. "Y-You are?"

"Yes, if you'll have me, that is."

Wow, that was easier than I thought. And here I thought I was going to have to go all alpha to make him stay. Okay, I wouldn't force him like that, but maybe persuade him a tad?

"Of course," I said, still stunned. "But I don't get it. What changed your mind?"
