“I found her.”

“Who?”my friend growls, exasperation evident even over the phone.

“My perfect woman. The one.” A smile tilts my lips when I think about the lush beauty in the car ahead of me.

“Oh. You found a date.”

“This is not about a date, you idiot,” I huff out. “Well, not exactly about a date. But the point is that I need to catch up with her before she does something stupid.”

“Like what?”

“Like date some other guy. Marry him. Have babies with him. Those are all my things. I’m claiming them and her.”

“You do realize that you sound like a crazy person,” Jameson says with a wry chuckle.

“I feel like one too. I just found her and she’s taking off on a plane to god knows where. I can’t lose her.”

“Alright. Give me a second to call the pilot and I’ll get him out there. But how are you going to find out where she’s going. That’s a tall order. She’s flying out.”

“Well, that’s also where you come in.” I clear my throat. “I have a name. I just need some information.”

“Don’t you think it’s a little wrong to sic a security company on your soulmate?”

“Not even a little bit. Just get me what I need and I swear I’ll forget all about all the blackmail material that I have on you.”

“Shameful. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you this obsessed.”

“You didn’t see her, man. She’s perfect. Those hips, those thighs. Those damn bewitching eyes.”

“Whoa!Jeez. Give it a rest. I’ll get what you need. Just stop talking like that. You’re making me really uncomfortable right now.”

“Cleo. Cleo Reynolds,” I say with a sigh. I swear I can practically feel the pull even now. Feel the need to touch her, taste her. Own her.

“Dude. I feel like I need a shower. You need to relax or you’re going to scare this woman off. You sound like a lunatic.”

“Just get me what I need. I swear I won’t scare her. I just need a chance. That’s all.”

“Right. I’ll call you back.” The line goes dead and I stare at it for a moment before I drop it in my lap.

But then I pick it back up and pull open my photos.

And there she is. Before I went up to her, I snapped a picture of her. Her long, loose blonde curls were flying around her head while her arm was lifted to call a cab.

And like she knew I was watching her, her eyes were locked on the camera. Big green eyes with long dark lashes fluttering. My fingers trace the soft curves in the photo and I groan when I feel my dick jerk in my dress pants.

Just a picture is enough to drive me crazy. Just one quick glance at the mouthwatering curves she’s rocking and I don’t feel like myself anymore. I feel like a hungry wolf ready to devour his mate. An intense, fiery need that roared up in my gut as soon as I saw her.

But now I have to get to her before some other asshole gets a shot at my perfect match. Because if I have to…I swear to god, I’ll kill someone with my bare hands if it means protecting my woman and keeping her for myself.

The cab pulls up in front of the airport and I throw a hundred dollar bill at him. “Thanks, man. Keep the change.”

He grins. “Good luck, man. Hope you get your woman!”

Chuckling, I slide out of the seat. “Trust me. I don’t lose.”

It’s true. My business is going gang-busters. As the number one construction business in the country, I’m more successful than I ever thought I’d be when I started my little company.

But I’ll sell out at the drop of a hat if it means that I get Cleo.
