“Mase.” Walking past him into the hallway is really difficult, but I manage, and I give a quick smile as the elevator doors close.

“You’ve got the place to yourself,” Grayson says as I tap my card against the door.

“Only for a bit. They’ll be back from the casino soon.”

“Maybe you should text when they do,” Bexley suggests with a worried frown. “Just so I’m not worried about them.”

I stayed out all night last night and you weren’t worried. You didn’t even know!“They’re big boys and girls,” I tell her instead. “Besides, I think you might have other things on your mind.”

“Uh, yeah,” Grayson says, tugging Bexley away from my door with a laugh. “Big boys and girls. Now, where’s the ‘take me home, you big stud’quote tonight?”

“I’m not going to say it if you have to prompt me. Night, Fee.” Bexley wraps her arms around me. “Home tomorrow,” she adds sadly.

“Home tomorrow,” I repeat, just as sad.

“You’ve had fun, haven’t you? I know you weren’t that keen on coming at first.”

“I’m so glad I came,” I say truthfully. “It’s been amazing.”

Bexley hugs me again, and then Grayson hugs me too, and finally, I step inside my room.

We left the lights on, with glasses and bottles strewn on every surface, and there’s a faint scent of the sushi. With a sigh, I start to tidy up, not knowing when Mase will arrive—

I jump at the quiet knock at the door.

“How did you get here so fast?” I hiss as I pull Mase inside.

“I’m very quick,” he assures me with utter seriousness. “I mean, not like that,” he blusters when I laugh. “But things that matter, like stealing second, and taking the elevator up a floor and hopping down the stairs. You guys were talking so much that when I stuck my head out of the stairwell, I thought Bexley was going to see me.”

“She didn’t, though.”

“Nobody saw me. I was very sneaky. I like sneaky.” His eyes darken as he takes the dirty glasses out of my hand. “It’s kind of sexy keeping this a secret, isn’t it?”

“I hate lying,” I wail. “I want to tell Bexley.”

“Oh, Fee.” Mase pulls me into his arms as my eyes prick with tears. “Let’s go tell them. We can go knock on their door—”

“No,” I sniffle. “I don’t want to disturb them. What if they get upset?”

“They won’t get upset,” he promises, fingers tangling in my hair.

“They might.”

“They love us, and they’re in love, so they want everyone to be as happy as them. Now—” Without warning, Mase scoops me into his arms. “I’m givin’ this another try. Which room is yours?”

I point, then cover my head with my hands as he carries me into my room, smiling so wide that my cheeks ache.

Everything can wait until tomorrow. Tonight is just for us.

Mase

Thistime,Igetto throw Fiona on the bed. No upset stomach tonight.

But she still jumps up for one last glance into the suite before carefully closing the door.

By the time she turns around, I’ve stripped down to my briefs.

“What are you doing?” she gasps, hand at her mouth.
