"Linc, this is my best friend, Carrie. Carrie, this is Linc, the guy I told you about from the cruise." I say as she reaches out to shake his hand.

She pulls her arm back before he can get a grip on her, "Wait, the rebound?" She says loudly.

"Well, I think something actually has to happen for it to be considered a rebound." Linc smirks.

Carrie nods and gives him a polite smile, putting her hand out for him to shake again. To the outsider it would look completely normal but to me the best friend I can tell the difference. Linc has firmly been placed in the do not touch pile. I'll have to talk to her about it later.

My attention is diverted when I see Percy come in with his face set in a frown. "Oh, duty calls, you two keep eachother company please." I rush over to Percy just to make sure he doesn't kill someone.

"Hey. What's up. Everything okay?" I stop him and he wraps his arms around my waist, calming down almost instantly. I love that I'm able to do that for him.

"Yeah. I just wish people would do what the hell they're supposed to be doing. What the fuck is so hard about keep the damn press away. For fucks sake I already found two media cameras with their camera lens pointed into our kitchen." He huffs out a breath and looks around at the chaos around us. We open in four hours and the final things are coming together.

"Ahh, well you know how it goes. People are always looking for the next big story." I smile at him.

"Yeah, I can't wait until we can go back to being out of the limelight. Let them find their story somewhere else."

I bite my lip as I look up into his intense face. The lines of stress already starting to crease by his eyes and downturned mouth. I guess this is as good a time as any. "Well I have some bad news for you. Unless we move the wedding date up from next year I'm. pretty sure we're going to be making headlines again soon."

His eyebrows furrow in and he stares down at me, "What do you mean? Why?"

"Well you know how people get all up in arms about children born out of wedlock." I sigh nonchalantly before I look up at him. A myriad of emotions cross his face. Mostly confusion until I move back a little and put his hand on my stomach.

The confusion turns to panic, then boyish excitement.

"Are you pregnant? Really? You are? You sure?" He asks the question lightning fast and all I can do is nod.

"Oh fuck! Oh Ella, I'm so happy." He laughs loud and picks me up, twirling me around.

"Nope!" I say loud and scramble out of his arms. My stomach lurching up due to the sudden bout of nausea.

"Oh, sorry. I'm sorry." Percy immediately goes into caretaker mode. Fanning me, wiping the sweat from my forehead.

"No you didn't! Ella Sayers! Are you knocked up?" Carrie yells across the room silencing everyone and pulling the attention to Percy and I.

When I don't say anything, Percy wraps his arms around me and grins hard. No words needed. The place erupts in happy applause and hugs.

Carrie's first of course, "Girl, I'm going to be the best auntie alive. I got the best matching outfits planned already! Baby and mommy classes for you. We can do a pregnancy shoot! Oh! How about a boudoir one? That's sexy..."

I lean my head back and look up at Percy, "Why aren't I invisible yet?"

He just laughs and kisses me hard, erasing everything else from my mind. Percy Snow is my world now and forever and in a couple of months it's going to get just a little bigger.
