Storm’s lips pressed together. “I did but didn’t get it.” He shrugged. “Doesn’t matter. I’ve got plenty of money.”

“I’m sure you do,” Travis said with a smile. “I mean, it does feel nice, doesn’t it? To not have to worry about the jobs one gets when you have a hefty sum in the bank.”

Travis ran his fingers through his hair. “I mean, I certainly know, as one of the richest men in the world who’s also on the most eligible bachelor list in the country, that—”

“Travis,” I said. “I mean, Mr. Covington.”

Travis looked down at me, his eyes flickering, before they went back to Storm. “Well, better go and get your drink now before you get too thirsty.”

Storm frowned slightly and then looked at Travis and looked at me and shook his head. “Nice meeting you, Molly Malone, who the song wasn’t written after but should have been.” He paused. “Maybe I’ll write a song about you.”

I laughed then, giddy. “You’re funny. And sweet. And if you wrote a song about me, I would totally love you forever.” I bit down on my lower lip as I could feel the heat radiating from Travis.

“Well, then, I guess I have to write it,” Storm said and walked away.

“Excuse us, Barry. I just have to speak to Molly privately for a couple of moments.”

“No worries,” Barry said dryly, his eyes alight with mischief. “I’ll go find myself a drink as well.”

Barry walked away, and it was just Travis and me standing there. “What the hell do you think you’re playing at? You’ll love Storm?”

“I said I would love him if he wrote a song about me. Anyone would say it was just a figure of speech. Obviously, I don’t love him. I just met him.”

“I don’t know what you say to men to try to get them.”

“Excuse me?” I stared at him furiously.

“I mean, you brought up your fantasy to me the first time I met you.”

“I did not bring up my fantasy!”

“Oh, you didn’t want to meet in a bar and pretend we were strangers and have me pick you up and take you back to my hotel room and then fuck all night long?”

“I told you that when I was super drunk, and okay, maybe that was kind of a fantasy. But we didn’t actually go ahead and do that.”

“But you did come back to my place.”

I stared at him in shock. “Are you frigging kidding me right now, Travis?”

“What? I’m just saying the facts of the situation. And the facts are—”

“I’m not talking about this right now. If I want to have a drink with Storm, then I can. You’re going to meet perfect little Shannon, and—”

“You’re the one who said I should meet her.”

“Yeah, well, you didn’t exactly say no.”

“Couldn’t be rude, especially after what you said.”

“Yeah, well—”

“You know you’re not allowed to sleep with anyone else, right, Molly?”

“What?” My jaw dropped. “What are you talking about?”

“No matter how many songs Storm writes for you or how much you flirt with each other, you can’t sleep with him.”

“I can sleep with whoever I want.”
